Cedar Ridge campground, Russellville, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have been at Cedar Ridge for 1 month. Its a very nice area to explore, the campground is near a lake known for great fishing. The campground itself is very well maintained by a very nice couple, with well groomed gravel sites & great trees. Owner offers pump out service. The small store is well stocked with basic camping items as well as food & bait & tackle. A clean laundry room as well as clean restrooms with showers. There is no wifi, very limited TV reception, & the only cell service available is ATT. We camped at Cedar Ridge campground in a Motorhome.

Chickasaw State Park, Henderson, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

It's a pretty park. The campground is very old , it's difficult to maneuver on the very narrow interior roads with lots of curves , hills & trees, many of the sites are backwards, designed to pull in & back out. Very true icky with our 36 ft motorhome., but we found a suitable spot for the night . We stayed one night on the way to Alabama I should add they are going to update the campground We camped at Chickasaw State Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Eureka, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a friend who had there wedding here. It's clean, with lots of things to do, especially for the kids. We didn't have good weather and I was sick, so we didn't use much of the parks amenities. The sites are kind of small and close together. Ours wasn't very level. It's not our kind of place, but it's clean. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Sam A Baker State Park, Patterson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park, it has a lot to offer, a small store, restaurant, canoe rentals and more. The sites are nice. We had 119, a very nice site. The St. Francois River is within walking distance, is crystal clear and so refreshing. My biggest complaints are the host and staff. We got here on a Friday about 5PM. We did not even see the host till late the next morning, than he had an attitude. One of our friends got in about 8:30. Their reserved site had someone else in it when they arrived. They talked to the host, who wasn't happy to be awakened, than not helpful to resolve the matter. The restrooms and showers were closed and cleaned from 8-9 or 10 AM. This should be done earlier than 8-9, when people are getting ready to go on a 10AM float trip. However, we had a good time. We camped at Sam A Baker State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wakonda State Park, La Grange, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over July 4th. They had storms the week before, so there were lots of downed trees, and parts of the park were closed, including the beach. Very clean shower/baths. Most of the sites were nice. Too bad they had the storm damage. Not much in nearby La Grange, but Quincy, IL, is not far away. We stayed on site #11. We camped at Wakonda State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Robertsville State Park, Robertsville, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time here. Its an older state park, but its not run down. It's very wooded and most sites very private. We stayed on the buddy site 24 & 25 with some friends. Kind of a small buddy site, but it worked. Not a lot to do here, some hiking trails, a boat launch into the Meramec river. Overall, a nice clean park. We camped at Robertsville State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of Missouri's many fine state parks. Beautiful tall pine trees throughout, very clean and well maintained. We stayed in the first section, its small, but peaceful, the other area is much larger. We love it here. We camped at Hawn State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lost Valley Lake, Owensville, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a membership resort: we were able to stay because we have friends who are members. The price was right at $10.00 a night. I'm not impressed enough to become members. There are some nice amenities: lakes, pools, cafe, store, activity center with bingo etc. But the staff was not very friendly or helpful, the sites are very narrow and unkempt, and the roads are a disaster. I have driven on better goat roads. It does have clean bathrooms and showers. We camped at Lost Valley Lake in a Travel Trailer.

This is another great COE park. We stayed over Labor Day with friends and family. Our site was #56. Has paved roads, our site was gravel and fairly easy to level. Had lots of nice walk paths and very nice shower houses. We had chilly weather this weekend, but had a great time. We camped at Sugar Bottom COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a new campground that has replaced the old one from the flood. We also stayed in loop 2. I really don't have much to add that wasn't mentioned previously. A nice place. We camped at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Clinton Lake State Recreation Area, Dewitt, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this campground due to the proximity of a family reunion we attended in the area. We made the reservation at reserve America, the map that we printed from their site took us to a day use area north of Weldon, Illinois. After asking around and about a half hour we finally found the campground just south of Dewitt. Its a big place, very nice. We did have trouble finding a water faucet, there wasn't one at all in our loop, but we eventually found one. The hosts are hard to find as well as the rangers. There was a vault toilet in our loop and a shower house with real toilets not to far away that looked pretty clean, but didn't smell clean if you know what I mean. We'll probably come again next year. We camped at Clinton Lake State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Mark Twain State Park, Stoutsville, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Mark Twain is pretty nice, has fairly large, private sites. They had recently had alot of rain, due to all the beautiful shade trees, it made for alot of mud. Our 20A service wasn't working, maintenance fixed the problem. We had a good time overall. We camped at Mark Twain State Park in a Travel Trailer.
