We loved it. As others have said it all revolves around the owners. But I went for a bird hike early on the road just east and found a bonanza. It has almost all pull-throughs and so easy. We will tell anybody who uses I-65 Tennessee exit 27 that this a diamond in the rough.

Date of Stay:

For a KOA it was minimum. Had a really muddy site #2, pull through but no sewer and 110 volts. Help was friendly though or the rating would be even lower.

We were very disappointed with this park. While the help was friendly, the park was dirty, unlevel and really looked like a gypsy camp. Many people living in tents with dreadlocks and dirty. Very small sites with little order. They had a fellow in charge of flowers and he did a good job but it didn't help. Wi-Fi was very week even in the adult room.

Well it is no longer a K O A , and it has gone down hill from there. Gravel roads are eroding, and site elec. is failing. Help is friendly, but only two local girls, No maintance. It has been bought by a local rv dealer, and they are planning a park model permenant sites park.

All gravel, growing by 42 new sites,Changed names now spring lake RV resort. ADULTS ONLY no pool or playground.Shady therefore hard to use dish tv. New part of park will open aug 1 08. these sites will be around small lake about 3 acers. New sites will have grill and small (3 x 3 ) table w/ two chairs. More open sites, level, with pad.All new site are back in. No park model units.

Some of the reviews had me a bit worried, but we found this to be a nice place to spend two weeks on my rod.The site was level, the new paved roads (with no speed bumps) were wide and easy to get around on. The view from the park is awsome. The wi-fi is all we payed for. The wild flowers were a nice touch. We have found that western horizon parks are quality parks. We will stay again.

One of the nicest parks we have stayed in with some of the greatest work kampers. Stayed here ( two weeks) on our ROD membership. Fantastic views of mountains a wee warm in July but with 50 amp we kept are cool. We actually won at the casinos and had great inexpensive meals. The winery has some good wines to taste, and a 5 star restaurant. Level sites but no picnic tables?

As others have posted the dust is the big downer, but this is located in one of the Earth's most striking vistas. You are in the monuments. Service is on Navajo time. We could not use the pool, it was full with kids from around the globe who tour in tents traveling in large vans. But they were very respectfull of quiet time. There is poor quality electric (meter) 110 volts or less. Has pull through sites. They charge for showers ($1.50) with that many tenters, and it is in the desert.

Nice park: the fence that was in other post, is gone. Has good quality power (on meter); level, pull through sites; friendly staff. Everything was very clean. It is easy to miss the turn off 50. Go beyond San Juan St., to Cedar St., then turn North. If you are coming to this park from south on Highway 550: TAKE YOUR TIME. That was one of the twisty-est road I have ever been on!

Great location, easy roads to Yosemite. Motorhomes really a challenge to drive into Yosemite. Trees need trimming back badly. Site gravel unlevel, really friendly hosts. Nice pool cold though. Dinner was good deal on Sat. Casino close and really nice. Goood food there also. Stayed w/rdo membership. I think that is why less desirable site.

As said a membership park with nice pull throughs but you have to look hard to find the 50 amp sites. Most are taken by long term campers. Nice date palm trees and a very attractive park. Easy in and out. While we were here the winds where tough: 20 to 30 MPH with gusts to 50mph. We took a load of sand with us. Park closes for the summer on May 15.

For the money it came up short. Nice narrow site but they no longer honor Good Sam discount nor do they state in web site that the shuttle is $3 per person per day. Be sure to lock up at all times; bad area of town a mile east of Disney.

Clean, Friendly, Great place to leave the unit to tour Big Bend. In the town of Marathon nice shops. great sunsets.

Really big rig friendly. Paved pad w/ great hook ups. Super clean. We have paid $70 for sites this nice. Very friendly from casino to shuttle employees. We will be going back.

As many have said very narrow, But a good 4 or 5 night campground. ROD Site are short this beeing a old K O A. We pull a small trailer and had to disconnect. Site level w/pad. Very clean w/ indoor pool and hot tub, used all but could not get sauna hot. Great adult room. Gun club just down the street so day time noise. We will go back
