Sycamore RV Resort, Sycamore, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Always well maintained and a quiet park. Owner takes extra pride in keeping the park to this high standard. Restrooms are always clean. We had lot 57, which afforded us a front row view of the lake. My only issue is the firewood cost per piece, they are the highest we have seen. Otherwise I would have rated the park a 10. We camped at Sycamore RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort, Volo, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this campground numerous times and I must say they have done so much in the way of improvements. The office staff couldn't be better. The washrooms we cleaned at least twice daily. The pool and beach and grounds were very well maintained. This is the most family friendly campground in the Chicago area. We have no complaints. We camped at Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Hi-Tide Beach & Campground, Leland, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Beach was nice. Outside of that everything had issues, like not enough bathrooms; after 10am most were backed up. Our son had to drive 10 minutes away to a gas station to use their facilities. We were charged to use our air conditioner, but our site only had a 20 amp connection. Even with an adapter we did not have the current to run the AC, but we were charged. Site was very difficult to access; owner admitted he never put a pop-up on the site. The site was for primitive camping, but again overcharged. Plus, issues like charges to use showers, pool made this park very costly. We also rented two cabins and the owner made refunding security deposit very difficult stating "well, the fire pits were dirty". The cabins were infested with spiders, making most of our group refusing to use the cabins. We will never return. We camped at Hi-Tide Beach & Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Millbrook, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

Very expensive park, everything is extra. We paid $350.00 for two nights at two sites: with (1) popup and (1) tent site. Check in was lengthy, sites are improperly marked and poorly leveled, water spigots leaked. The swimming pool was very overcrowded. Overall overpriced for what was received. Overall, very disappointed. We camped at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice sized campsites here. The catch and release ponds were nice; but the bathrooms leave something to be desired. People were frendly and our stay was quiet. Overall we had a nice time. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Very friendly, large pull through sites. Restrooms/ showers were the best we have seen in all of our camping experiences. Indoor pool, hot tub and game room was above our expectations. Mingo RV Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly people, easy check in. Only drawback is the rest rooms/ showers were closed from 10pm to 7am. We were camping in a pop up camper which made restroom access difficult, plus it was a long walk to the restrooms, since they only had one location. Otherwise we had no complaints. We would recommend this campground to friends. We camped at Mingo RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
