Absolutely lovely campground, great lake views. Crowded at weekends - can be hard to find a good site. Some sites sloping. Operated by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It can be reserved through ReserveAmerica. We camped at Horse Creek in a Motorhome.

Panamint Springs Resort (Privately Owned), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Good campground for access to Death Valley - 1000 ft altitude means not as hot as the campgrounds in the valley floor. The campground manager was quite abrupt - in fact rude might be a better word. We camped at Panamint Springs Resort (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground), Yosemite National Park, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Good campground - feels spacious even when full, which it will almost always be. The best sites are the ones near the edge, overlooking the creek. We camped at Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
