Indianapolis KOA, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

Don't usually stay on KOA due to their high cost, but this was Memorial Day week and Indianapolis 500 weekend as well, so we had little choice. The campground is very full. Sites are average width, but angled so you have a little breathing room. Level sites with grass between. Very well maintained. It's a KOA. 'nuff said. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Can't say enough about this campground. First, they did not require a deposit. Second, the owner was extremely nice and helpful. Asked for a quiet site and even though we only have a 21' travel trailer, she guided us to a 50 amp spot to accommodate us. It was very quiet, shady and perfect. Most sites had large shading trees and could fit the largest rigs...and there were plenty of them there! All were very wide, gravel pull-thru with full hookups. The campground is very well maintained with beautiful grass, flowers and whimsical touches throughout. We are looking forward to staying there on our return trip. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Four Seasons RV Acres, Abilene, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice overnight stay. Many seasonal people, but their rigs were quite new and everything was neat and tidy. Lots of grass with gravel sites. Average width of sites. We stayed in #22, which was perfectly level. There is a convenience store with pizza, wings, hot dogs and various sundries. The Shell station on the premises made it convenient to fill up and their price was great...$2.09 for diesel. Will stay again on our return trip. We camped at Four Seasons RV Acres in a Travel Trailer.

John Martin Reservoir State Park, Hasty, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was a nice surprise. We stayed in Hasty Campground and sites were extremely large, roomy and quite level. The waterfront sites were great; however, due to the roof structure over the picnic table, high, large RV's would have a problem fitting in them. Electric only at all sites, so fill your fresh water tank or bring water jugs. There are water hydrants throughout the park. Lots of shade trees on most of the sites, but there are many without any shade as well. We had reserved #91, but preferred to be closer to the water so we just chose another. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Gave it a 9 instead of 10 since there was no water or sewer at the sites. We camped at John Martin Reservoir State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Roadrunner RV Resort, Red River, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

There is no comparison between this park and any of the others in Red River. This is by far the best! We camped beside the river under large shade trees. It was delightful. Spaces were roomy. There is also a separate "adults only" area away from the river (no campfires allowed there) and a section of mobile homes that are kept very neat. The camp office/store is very attractive and the staff was most helpful and pleasant. They do require a non-refundable deposit, but we have found this in other RV parks as well. We'll definitely stay here again whenever we're in Red River. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
