Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly and our site was level. We liked the dog park and that they had a lot of machines in the laundry room. We did pay for a more expensive site so we could have grass, which the people who didn't have grassed used to exercise their dogs on as well and didn't always clean up. We were able to pick up 8 stations on the TV. The Wi-Fi worked fine. We needed RV repair and the recommended a person that did fix the RV but it was a minimum of $200 for him to come out which we thought was excessive. Of course, we think that $74 for a site is excessive as well, even though you are in Vegas and a 10 minute walk from the strip. We would not stay here again. Circus Circus had rooms advertised for $29. We would have been closer to the casino and gotten off much cheaper if we had parked the RV and stayed in the hotel. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Motorhome.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was plenty long and somewhat level. Wi-Fi was pretty useless. Our problem with this park is what was advertised was not what you got. They advertised fresh muffins, but apparently they don't have them all the time. They advertise fresh morning coffee and they do have it but they charge 25 cents for a small styrofoam cup of it. They say they have TV service: we were not able to pick up even one channel. They say you have views from every site: which is true, ours was a view of the cabins in front of us. The staff was a bit curt as well. We would not stay here again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our site was paved, and level with plenty of room and a fountain in front of us. We had some problems using the Wi-Fi, everything else worked fine. No traffic noise at night. Nice dog run area with some walking trails as well. Pool and hot tub area was nice as well. We would stay here again. Fossil Valley RV Park, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very laid back park: just come in and pick your spot. We had some issues with leveling. Cable TV worked fine, Wi-Fi signal was weak as we were at the far end from the office. Nice big trees for shade. Works great for an overnight stay. We camped at Fossil Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

The interior roads here were really bad. Sites were tight but manageable. Nice that there is some grass. The cable TV worked fine. More than half of the washers and dryers were not functioning. We thought the price was pretty high for what you got. The location however is great to explore Jackson. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Office person was the friendliest I have run into in a few years. Very helpful on what to see in the area. The site was fairly level. Cable TV worked well and not too much problem with the Wi-Fi. The petting zoo was great fun. The mosquitos were really bad. We would stay here again. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Sites were gravel, fairly level and easy to get into. Staff was friendly. Wi-Fi and cable TV did not work very well at all. Fine base for seeing the area. Traffic from the road died down at night and was not a problem. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel pads with 50/30/20 amps, well kept sites with cable TV. The Wi-Fi worked fine. The noise level was not bad at all, considering the park is next to the highway and a railroad. Staff was friendly and helpful. They accepted Passport America. This was a nice place to stay for a couple days and see the area. We would camp here again. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rochester Marion KOA, Rochester, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are kept up well. They had a person park us and provided wood for under our jacks because they have soft pads. There is a cable hookup that does not hookup to cable TV, but to an antenna to reach TV stations better. This did not work for us. The office lady tried to help, but was not able to get their 'antenna' to work with our system either. I think the $42 price is way too high for this park especially with no cable or any TV access. The Wi-Fi, however, worked fine. I would not stay here again at the current price. We camped at Rochester Marion KOA in a Motorhome.

Driftwood Shores Resort & RV Park, Manistique, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Small, quiet park with a friendly owner. Sites are adequate but could use a new layer of gravel. This is on the lake but there is no beach access. A lot of scrub brush between the campsites and the lake. There are nice trails to bird in from the campground that will take you to the lake. Wi-fi was very slow and didn't always work. Was not able to pick up any TV channels. Nice library of videos available to use while you are there though. We camped at Driftwood Shores Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Sites were very unlevel and utilities poorly laid out. The campground has a lot of trees, some making it a challenge for bigger rigs to get into a site. Some road noise. No Wi-Fi but was able to pick up 6 TV stations. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel site, had no problem leveling or getting into the site. The sites are very weedy. Staff was friendly. Wi-Fi was slow. Was able to pick up 2 channels on digital TV. View of the lake was nice even though it is a partial view. They do have property on the lakeside of the road where you can walk down to the lake and see the bridge. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Kalkaska RV Park & Campground, Kalkaska, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park owners were very nice & friendly. Wi-Fi and cable worked well. Interior roads & sites were a dirt/sand gravel mix and bumpy. My site was more level than some of the others looked, but I could not get level and reach the sewer. They do have a dump station. Some road noise during the day but mostly quiet at night. Nice trails to walk on within the campground. The rate here reflects the CampClub discount. I would stay here again at that rate but not at their full rate. There is a RV Resort 10 miles closer to Traverse City with a rate slightly higher than this one that I would rate a 10. We camped at Kalkaska RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hungry Horse Campground, Dorr, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely kept park. I stayed in two different sites. The first was Water & Electric only, it was on grass, level and worked fine. The next night I stayed in a full hook-up site. This site was very sandy & my leveling blocks kept sinking. I had to pull way up in the site to find enough grass to level but the sewer was set way back in the site, so I could not use it. Wi-Fi was slow but worked. Phone signal in some parts of the campground but not all. Owner & Workers were very friendly and helpful. There were more children in this campground than any I have ever been too. Lots of room for kids to play, nice pool & playground area. Seasonal sites were well kept. We camped at Hungry Horse Campground in a Motorhome.
