Why I had to pay $27 with Good Sam discount is beyond me. It was $24 last year and nothing has change. I called a nearby park I wanted to try but they wanted $35! This park has the best shower arrangement that I have seen in many years. You can shower, with hot water, and then dress in an area that does not have standing water. They get an ATTA BOY!

Ft. Stockton. Wi-Fi was OK once we got connected but it took a lot of discussion and a move from one site to another. I suspect the office reset their server in the process. We stayed here in 2009 when it was a KOA and I swore I would never return because of the poor wi-fi. I cringe when folks in the office suggest that the reason I am not getting connected could be my computer. Good bath rooms and showers. Several TV channels are available from a decent, rotatable, antenna with booster. If you are multi-lingual you are in luck. If you are a cat lover you will love this park. We ate at the café which offers decent, hot, food in the $8 to $9 range. Don’t expect to find east TX smoked ribs here. $2 beers and a chance to chat with other campers makes it a nice sitting. We paid $30 which may have included our Good Sam discount. Rates may change from shift to shift. This is $10 to high for an off season stay.

It took 1/2 hour on the phone to wi-fi service to get connected on wi-fi. They “manually” connected me for the days of our stay. They were having communication problems in the Kinder area. Super showers and plenty of hot water. They need a longer curtain to keep water off the dressing area floor plus a mat. Hotel and Chalets were sold out on Saturday due to a car give-a-way promotion but the RV park was only ½ filled. The park is slightly terraced so transition rows have more slope front to rear than the level rows. Seems to me the park has nearly 200 sites, not 110. Standard Rates are now $20 and $45 on Friday/Saturday. Comps are tighter than they were last year. We had all 4 days comped but it is strange process. They gave more comps to my wife’s play on the Penny machines than my play at the tables. Getting a receipt on check out showing $0 balance is difficult. This park would rate a 10 if it had an on site, all weather, pool and hot tub.

Very nice RV park. Rates a 10 if it had on site, all season, pool and hot tub. Showers are very nice but hot water was not hot enough for me. They also need a mat in the dressing area. Casino crap table activity was slow during the week as were the free drinks. Park is a real bargain at the PA rate. Our 4 day stay was comp’ed due to our modest ($$) gambling. Be sure to get a bill on check out to insure comps were indeed registered.

Fontainebleau - We were here last year in early December and the park was only ½ filled. We were lucky to get a site for 2 days on a weekend this time in early November. Wi-Fi was good all day Friday but went down Saturday at 9AM. It was still out when we left Sunday AM. The local park office said there is nothing they can do about the Wi-Fi as it is handled remotely from the state park headquarters, somewhere. He didn’t even have a number to call! Incredible! Therefore, I elect to say they do NOT have Wi-Fi. They also block certain, unknown, web sites so big brother may be monitoring your Internet time. We stayed 2 days which averaged out to be $21 when you include the registration rip off fee of $6.

Very nice. Rates a 10 if it had an on site, all season pool and hot tub. Showers need a mat in the dressing area. Office doesn’t open until 9AM which is a disadvantage because there are usually miscommunications between the casino and the park on Comps. I never leave unless I have a final bill in my hands. We stayed 3 nights and had 2 nights complimentary with modest ($$) gambling. Good Sam rate ends up being $34 with tax.

Hill Top Large park, plenty of room, easy access, great showers and a $1.50 laundry. Showers are well equipped and maintained. Only problem is the triangular corner stool is not fastened to the wall and will tilt if you put your foot on it. I had a problem getting connected on WiFi at the far NE corner of park but manager reset the system and I got on. Manager came by to check on my status. Strongest signal will be down the center line of the park as there is an antenna at the office and in the rear center. Modest number of TV channels which can be a blessing. Near by truck stop with diner is worthy of a visit. We stayed here 2 days. PA rate was $17 which is $18.53 total including tax. Regular rack rate is $26 + tax so there is a conflict with Pass Port’s claim of 50% discount. The number I put in the rate box is the total $, rounded, that it cost me to stay at that park. Some parks have low rates but then charge for all the “extras” such as 50A, WiFi, Cable, and so on.

Drifters is a small, compacted park. You may be able to get in and out with a big dog but not designed to be big rig friendly. Many full timers but clean and neat sites. We only saw 2 sites for overnighters. Bath house was clean but shower hot water was just warm. You get a full page of rules when you check in and that is followed up with demeaning “Don’t” signs where ever there is a spot on the wall. No pool, no fire ring, no table, no grill. No pull-throughs, but there are plenty of yippy dogs. Wi-Fi and cable are good. $30 for the stay is a $27 Good Sam rate + tax.

We are used to RV parks with many long term campers, mostly workers, but this was different. My wife and I felt uncomfortable with groups of men in various dress walking around, smoking and drinking, in the middle of the afternoon. We had keys to the showers and I checked them out. Given the dark nature of the restrooms and the atmosphere we elected to use our own. Good Wi-Fi and cable. Office staff lady was helpful. No chickens, but there is a train very close to the park. We would try another campground in the future. Rate is PA. Nearby Country Oaks Golf Course was a good course and value on the Golf Card Program at a rate of $22 each.

Devencrest An older park with some sections out of service and many permanent residents. We were directly across from the office. Showers were adequate but not well maintained. Excellent Wi-Fi. Good cable. Due to the layout and maintenance it is difficult to tell what is a functional camping site and how it is entered. Campers should arrive well before the office closes (5PM) so you have assistance in finding a site. While you may get a big rig in and out I would not consider this park designed for big rigs. Enough traffic noise that we had to sleep with our windows closed. We stayed 2 days at the PA Rate.

Due to construction in the area most parks are booked up. This was our 3rd choice and we were lucky to find a spot. The park is in need of some serious maintenance and clean up. Many full time guests and unkempt trailers loaded with pine needles. The toilet and showers are clean but are woefully lacking. Shower water is lukewarm at best, no toilet paper in one stall, and no paper towels or means to dry your hands at the sinks. The hose bib at our site was 3” away from an open sewer connection surrounded by dried toilet paper. Due to the amount of trees and low hanging limbs I would not consider this park big rig friendly. There appeared to be several sites at the entrance end of the park that were out of operation. There was a pool and swings but I was not provided a map, list of amenities and “rules”. The rate, $27, cash only, but should be around $15. The Wi-Fi worked well but we were close to the “office”. Golf at Meridian NAS is a super value at $20.

The down side is the single (1), small, shower. The door can be locked but the location in the Pro Shop is inconvenient. We opted to use our own. The pool looks great but is unheated and we were there out of season. The hot tub was covered and only lukewarm so we passed on that. Club House/Pro Shop/Lounge is modest but nice. It has a pool table ($1), TV, and very reasonably priced adult beverages. They allow you to take your own beverages onto the golf course, which is rare. $2 laundry. Tables, fire ring, and charcoal grill at each site. Good Wi-Fi. Golf course is a fair test and was in fair shape. They had recently over seeded the greens. The fee(s) are very reasonable. I would stay here again. 4 miles west of Ashburn on hard paved GA 112.

This park deserves high ratings because it delivers on what you expect from a KOA. Showers rate a 10 but get a 9 because it takes a full 1 minute for warm water to arrive and 2 minutes for full hot water. There is a shower head in the men’s room that needs replacing. The showers were 4 to 6“ too narrow and needed and extra 12’ in the dressing area. Other than that this park could give tours and seminars to other camp ground owners on how to design and maintain a superior RV park bath house. There were 4 washers and 4 dryers at $1.50 each in the clean but small laundry. We stayed here 2 days expecting to play golf, which never came about. It was interesting to watch the full gauntlet of rigs arrive and depart, most heading to Florida for the winter. It appears that if you have a $500,000 Prevost you will already know of this stopover.

We were looking forward to staying here for as few days and playing golf but I require wi-fi in my RV at my site. When I called the manager told me they had a “hot spot” but may be able to get connected if I had the right site. When I arrived the manager led me to the prime spot but I could not get connected. I thank her and moved on. The park looked about 10% filled and the golf course appeared to be a nice one.

Very good park. Easy to find if you concentrate on the road between Arby’s and BP. Showers rate a 10 except for the type of mat/pad they use in the dressing area. Bath House requires a key. We also had a few ants, the first time in 30 + years of camping. Excellent Wi-Fi and cable. No picnic tables. There is a 50 cent charge for each Credit Card swipe. Nearby Gateway GC is a very nice Muni course as is Lagoon Park in the NE side of town. We stayed 3 days at the PA rate and would return again. PA members are put in the front row, next to the road and further away from the bath house.
