Our site (P-68) had a fabulous view of the bay. it was awesome!! The signage to the park was very good. The check in staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The interior roads are gravel and level. Our site was fairly level, grass and dirt, pull thru and had reasonable space between sites. There are several seasonal campers but we were in the transient part of the park so the clutter of the seasonal campers did not effect us. Our site had no trees so we had no trouble using our roof mounted satellite. Also the park had cable with a handful of channels. Our Verizon cell signal was excellent. We were close enough to the Club House so we were able to get a reasonable wifi signal from our motorhome. Also, they offered a military discount which is always heart warming to know people show their appreciation to our military. If we were back in this area we would definitely return if we could get the same beautiful view from our site.

What an awesome park. You cannot ask for any better, more natural beach campground. The directions and signage to the park were outstanding. The check in staff were extremely helpful. In fact, we were not slated for an electric site but a last minute cancellation for an electric site became available. The staff worked with the system to cancel and reassign our reservation so we could be in the electric loop. The park is a very natural setting. All interior roads are paved and each site is paved. Therefore the site was level and the spacing between each site is spacious. There are no trees in the campground so no shade. With no trees to block the signal, the roof mounted satellite worked fine. Also, our Verizon cell had a very good signal.

The signage to the park was outstanding. The check in staff was friendly. The park is well maintained. The location is perfect for Niagara Falls sight seeing. In fact, your hanging car pass qualifies you to park at Niagara Falls State Park for free while you are visiting the falls. The streets were paved and well maintained. Our site was level, gravel with grass surrounding, a very spacious size and was very easy to back into. The whole park is very big rig friendly. Our site (3) had some trees so we were not able to use our roof mounted satellite. Our Verizon service was good. We would definitely return here is we were in the area.

Signage to park was very good. The park is huge and was maintained well. The location is perfect for some wine tasting. The view at the lake is outstanding. The interior roads were paved and gravel roads to the loops. The loop roads had some potholes. Our site (239) was level, gravel with grass surrounding, reasonable size and was easy to back into. We had no problem with the site or throughout the park with our 38' motorhome. Our site was shaded so the roof mounted satellite did not work. The sites are well off the road so there is absolutely no road noise. Our Verizon cell reception was good. This is a great park for bike riding as there are several roads to explore. We were sorry we didn't have enough time to go to the Military Museum. We would definitely return to this park if we were in the area again.

This is a lovely campground to enjoy the beauty of nature. We were in site 86 which is heavily forested. We were fortunate to have 50 amp service but of course there was not a water hookup. The directions to the campground were good as was the signage. The site was somewhat level, mostly dirt with a little grass and we backed in with minimal problem although it was a little tight. Given the trees, we were unable to use our satellite nor could we get local TV on the antennae. Verizon cell signal was good. We participated in several activities at the Lodge and also had a nice dinner at the Lodge. There are several hiking trails in the park with incredible views of the various canyons. It is definitely worth a stay to experience the natural beauty of the park.

The staff at this campground are extremely friendly and very accommodating. They were very helpful with all sorts of local information. We were in site 27 which is close to the office and the restrooms. The showers and restrooms were extremely clean and very well maintained. The campground itself is also very well maintained. The interior roads were level but a bit on the narrow side. Our site was level, a bit narrow but was located between some huge spruce Christmas trees, which were delightful to view out our windows. The campground is very close to the highway but as a previous reviewer wrote, it is very pleasant to listen to clop, clop of the horses. We were not able to get any local TV reception with our antennae, but had no problem with satellite reception. Our Verizon cell phone had good reception also. My only negative is that the Wi-Fi was only free for 1/2 per day. As another reviewer wrote, for the site rate there should be free unlimited Wi-Fi, especially since there are no other amenities such as a pool. We would definitely stay here again.

The directions to the campground were very good and the signage was also good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The campground was very well maintained. We had site 93 which was level, gravel, had grass in between the sites, had reasonable space between sites and had partial shade. It was a true pull through site with easy in and out, if you elected to stay hooked up. It is very convenient to all the local Lincoln historical sites. It was very convenient to I-55 but not close enough to be bothered by road noise. The Wi-Fi was good and there was also local stations on the cable. We were even able to use our roof mounted satellite. We would definitely return here if we are in the area again.

Lovely Corps of Engineers campground. It is a small campground but you have all the lovely features of a Corps park - waterfront, large spacious sites and great rates. We are able to use our Senior Pass therefore the rate is half price. Our site was gravel, almost level and was lake front. The host came around to check on us and gave us our information. Very friendly and helpful. Our Verizon cell phone had good reception but no TV reception from either satellite or antennae. That is OK because we would rather enjoy the lovely trees. The signage on US 27 is very small and we missed it the first time so be very cautious. The entrance hill is very steep but not long in length. The interior road is one way and can be a little tricky at the end to make the turn but it is doable with our 39' motorhome. We are always thankful to be able to find a Corp park along our travel route. We would come back here if we were in the area.

This park is perfect for our travels as it is a midpoint between two locations. The sites are level and relatively spacious. Great pull through lots are long enough for a large motorhome and tow vehicle. It is the perfect place for an overnight stop: no hassles, pool, and all those other "amenities" that you do not use on an overnight stop. The rate quoted is Passport America for 50 amp with w/e/s. The owners were very accommodating and even drove to our tow to give us a jump as our tow would not start. We have stopped here before and would stop again. Wi-Fi was great and cable TV was unusually good with several channels. We were in a front site but we always use a small fan in the bedroom to use as "white noise" to drown out any outside noise.

This is truly a hidden gem. For RV travelers who are in search of a 1 night stay not far from the interstate, with no traffic noise and with all the extras, this is the place for you. The check-in staff was exceptional and friendly. We got an escort to our pull-through site. I had inquired about the possibility of fires and before you knew it free fire wood was delivered to our site. Our site was level, pull through and spacious. We were able to receive roof mounted satellite from our site. Our Verizon service was OK. Wish we could stay here longer than just an overnight stay, but we have obligations.

This park is a gem. If you want to just kick back and enjoy a restful stop while being serenaded by the river flowing over the rocks, this is the park for you. What a well kept secret. The park is very well maintained and the camp host is continually cleaning the bathrooms so they are immaculate. Speaking of the camp host, we have never stayed at a park that had a friendlier or more helpful host. Thank you for making our stay so special. The site was very spacious and level. We only had electric but there was a fresh water fill up location. Also, our site was paved asphalt. A local lumber company donates wood so we were able to enjoy a camp fire every night. There was no Wi-Fi and Verizon cell service was minimal. Due to the trees we were unable to use our roof mounted satellite. If we are in this area again we would definitely stay at this park.

Another fabulous Corp of Engineers park. This particular park is way up at the top of the list as it actually offers full hook ups. Everything you love about Corp parks is present here - paved roads; gravel, spacious, level sites; abundance of trees; close proximity to lake; manicured, immaculately maintained; friendly check-in staff; . We would definitely return here. A gem of a park!

Good little park for an overnight travel stop. Convenient to the interstate and didn't have a problem with road noise. The check-in staff was extremely accommodating to give us a site where we could use our roof mounted satellite. The campground roads were smooth and our site was level, but not very wide. Site was a pull-through and easy to maneuver for a big rig. The Wi-Fi was excellent. Didn't have any luck getting local channels with the antenna. Verizon signal was excellent. The rate stated is for Passport America.

Like the previous reviewer, a nice little basic campground for a 1 night stay. Very convenient to the interstate. We had previously made a reservation so payment was all ready made. We never saw a check in-person at the campground - just saw our site number on the chart. There are several long term campers there, but sites were neat and park well maintained. Our site was in the back part of the campground so we had a "view" of the storage area. Streets were not bumpy and site was level but very close to neighbors. Campground was easy to maneuver for a big rig. Even though only 3 miles from interstate we did not have any road noise. The park had great Wi-Fi. Verizon signal was excellent. We were able to use our roof mounted satellite. We were also able to get local stations with the antenna. Good overnight stop.

I normally would not give a 10 to a park without water and sewer hookups but this state park is amazing!! It has as many facilities and programs as a national park. We had site 19 which was at the peak of the hill so we had decent Verizon cell phone service. However, due to the trees we were not able to get satellite. The site was level and spacious. There is plenty of room between each site. Keep in mind that you don't "check-in" at a specific location but just go to the site indicated on your reservation. As with the other posts, there is a reservation fee and a $15 entrance fee for our tow car. All the roads are paved and in good shape. Each staff member we had the pleasure of meeting was very helpful and courteous. Be sure to go on the ranger led wild life caravan program. He took us down a road that put us right in the middle of a herd of bison. What an awesome event!! This is a great location for all the fantastic places in the area (i.e. Mr Rushmore, Wind Cave NP, Jewel Cave NM, Devil's Tower, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Drive, all the scenic loop drives in the park, etc). Be sure to attend the nightly illumination program at Mt. Rushmore. It is unforgettable. We would definitely camp here again if we were in the area.
