We weren't impressed with this campground at all. There isn't much for the kids to do and scenically wasn't very pretty at all. The pool is very small and the rates are very high for what you get. The staff isn't very friendly either. The east end of Long Island is a wonderful place to visit, but I would suggest camping in Connecticut and taking the ferry over for a day trip.

This campground caters more to the tenter. The RV sites are small and difficult to get in and out of. The interior roads are horrible. I checked out the bathrooms and they were old and not very clean. They had activities for the whole family though and a nice little pond for fishing. Some of the seasonals or regulars were a little undesirable too. There were some kids on the playground using foul language, throwing things and even punching one of my kids, and that was a 5 year old! The thing that makes this place wonderful is the blue rock formation. The kids had a ball climbing on them. Also the hiking up the the top on the mountain was great. The hike was a little rough at times, but the view from the top was incredible. I suggest if you like to hike, stay at another nearby campground and go to Blue Rocks for the day. Day use is 3.00 for adults and 1.50 for kids.

We stayed here because we had a karate tournament in the area and it was a rainy weekend, so we couldn't enjoy the campground as much as we could have. It was very clean and staff very nice. Store is well stocked and they have a nice size gameroom. There are two pools (which of course weren't opened yet), minigolf, shuffle board, basketball, and a fishingpond. They also have a TV lounge with Modem hook-ups. Nice and shady sites, with gravel, which is geat on rainy days!! Also heard they will be expanding in the future. Overall a nice campground. Will definitely go back when the weather is nicer.

This campground was a big disappointment. They have nerve to charge this much money. There is really nothing to do and visually it isn't very appealing either. There are many state and county park in the area that are much nicer, even if they do not have hook-ups, but are more affordable. I guess since they are the only private campground in the area they feel they can charge these rates. It's a rip-off.
