Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park, Franklin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Planned on staying 4 nights...Stayed for 14! New owners are working hard to upgrade this park to a first-class RV campground. Needed work on our truck and owners offered assistance in getting groceries and mail if needed! Pool, individual bathrooms and pavilion were sparkling clean. Laundry equipment is on order for fall as it in need of updating. Full hookup sites are more than ample in length, level and excellent water and electric. Owners have minor issues to update but are aware and whittling down the list. Easy on/off and very quiet in spite of being close to two truck stops (no trains!) We camped at Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Truck stops both had food, Walmart is 2 1/2 miles away, Franklin and Bowling Green easy to reach via I-65 and 31W. Bluegrass and Honky-tonk music were most enjoyable!

Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Good stop for overnight if you don't mind paying ridiculously high price! Right on I80 so easy on and off but traffic noise is noticeable. Sites are wide and long enough not to have to unhitch. Had I been thinking I would have requested a back in 30 amp site with water and electric only which might have been less expensive. We won't stay here again as there are other good options in this area. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very accommodating staff. Rate reflects 2 day PA and weekly rate of "pay for 6, get 1 day free". Pull thru sit 56 changed to back in site 46 when we had to extend our stay due to truck problem. Both sites spacious with cable. No pool but not a concern as we were visiting friends. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Heavenly Acres Campground, Stanardsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

the park is easy to get to but the interior roads are gravel and in horrible condition ( even though there is a tractor with a front bucket parked by the office ). Very shady, no satellite. Lots of permanents. We were here to visit friends. Next time we will boon dock if necessary rather than return to this park. We camped at Heavenly Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground, Akron, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

OK for our 2-night stay. E/W hookups were good but on the wrong side. Site #12 was long enough to unhitch and was level. Office staff was friendly and helpful. However...we felt that this once upscale park needs maintenance as it looks very shabby and on the hairy edge of falling apart. The petting zoo is in name only. The three dumpsters were overflowing with garbage and large bags were piled around each one and in the small pickup next to them...a sanitation problem for sure!!! Many permanents are workers who are adding construction debris. Got the feeling that management tolerates overnighters but panders to the regulars who are paying their bills. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

EZ Kamp, Grovertown, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights. Found that things have improved greatly since our stay 2 years ago. Electric and water were very good (we use a surge protector and a water pressure regulator). The new owners are working very hard to improve this Campground and their efforts are appreciated. Will stay here again. We camped at EZ Kamp in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar Cove RV Park, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicer parks...pull through sites for even the longest rigs, good FHUs, wonderful office staff that makes you feel welcome to their community. No pool or other amenities but not a drawback. Washrooms, showers and laundry meticulously clean...full kitchen and clubroom available for group activities. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cedar Cove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Sites not always in rows not some tucked in here and there. Easy to back in as on an angle to the roads. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Paid for 6 nights and 7th free. Very well maintained. Close to main roads but very quiet. Will stay again when in area. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Denver Meadows RV Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

All the previous comments tell it all...HOWEVER...we paid $295 for the weekly rate plus $46 for one extra night! What we got was reliable 50amp electric, good water pressure and a sewer hookup in the back of the site. For what the owners charge they should be able to upgrade the washrooms, showers, pool, etc...and have a great park. When the VA hospital opens, they will have no problem filling the park. We camped at Denver Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain View Campground, Lander, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Might have been nice awhile back but now only electric, water and sewer. Short roads have huge potholes...washrooms and showers in the main building are closed..."cafe" and office are so grungy you're afraid to touch anything. Owner told us a previous camper had mowed the tall grass in the few usable sites so the could be rented. PPA rate only given for 3 nights so paid full rate of $25 for 2 nights plus tax. Left wondering how this place exists! We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Evansville, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Newer park. Lady owner was very cordial and gave us a tour upon arrival. Wide roads make it very easy to back into sites. 30 amp FUP site, very level, gravel, good water pressure, WIFI good. Shade trees have been planted recently so there is none presently. Very clean park and the owner works hard to keep it that way! Laundry has 4 washers, 4 dryers at $2 each. Many workers here but sites are kept clean...except for children's toys and chairs left about. Would recommend that short-term travelers be given sites in a separate area as workers have a community and should be together without those of us passing through set in the middle of their RVs. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Park & Kamp , Murdo, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in and out, right on I90 but...trying to find someone to check you in was extremely difficult. Owner apparently doesn't believe in hiring someone to oversee the RV park and motel so you have to hunt someone down. After choosing a gravel W/E site we found that our surge protector found errors on 5 sites before we opted to move to another area that was 50 amp. Site was on concrete, close to next site, utilities satisfactory, ample shade but Dish worked well. Will never stay here again. We camped at American RV Park & Kamp in a Fifth Wheel.

Little River Casino Resort, Manistee, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to access from Rt. 31 or 22, this park offers paved roads, concrete pads to park on site, W/E or full hookups and easy to back into. The staff is very friendly and efficient; the buildings are extremely well-maintained. There is a laundry with 2 washers/2 dryers for $1.25. RVers have use of pool, hot tub, sauna and workout room at the casino which is a short walk. Those wishing to go to the casino can call for a shuttle. There are several restaurants with excellent food. Stay 5 days and the 6th is free! We camped at Little River Casino Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Farm Campground, Pentwater, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderfully located and very quiet, River Farm is an ideal location for relaxing, fishing, boating or just strolling through the nearby towns of Pentwater, Hart, Silver Lake and state parks. It is near I-31 but far enough away to not be bothered by traffic noise or trains. Roads and sites are gravel and ample for big rigs with slideouts and awnings. Electric and water are excellent. Only a few sites are good for satellite TV reception but local TV has only 2 stations which breakup frequently. Owner lives on premises and is very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at River Farm Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very welcoming staff! Sites were very ample and well located for a view of the river. Very quiet and close to town and the locks. Nice little store with some basics as well as a gathering room with free coffee! Would have given a 10 if they had a pool. We camped at Soo Locks Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
