Gorgeous location 200 yards from an unspoiled and uncrowded beach. Dated but very clean bathrooms and showers. Great seafood restaurants and shops in nearby Apalachicola. Bugs were pretty bad... bring some good bug spray and you'll be fine. Most sites were compacted sand with good footing, but ours (#60 on the map) was loose sand and deep in spots. 9 out of 10 for bugs and sandy sites... otherwise perfect. We had bad weather, but we'll be back.

This is not the place to go if you're looking for space between neighbors or to get back to nature. Most sites were right on top of one another, with little or no vegetation as a buffer. Our site (and others around us) were eroded and essentially dirt lots perched on the side of a hill. Our fire ring was built on the remains of a busted up asphalt parking pad. On the plus side, the lake and amenities at the park are nice, the bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the pool and playground area was nice too. Friendly staff.
