River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first time staying here, don't how we missed it for 15 years. Great park with level sites, good water pressure and electric, cable TV, and two sewer connections. The park employees were very visible and helpful. They have a large dog park, nice pool, and hot tub as well as a lazy river. Bathrooms and showers were kept clean and very nicely updated. We were here for a Rally and the pavilion was really nice and centrally located. They even have a RV and bus wash as well as a Dog wash. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pigeon forge has everything that you can imagine to do, and more restaurants than most anywhere . Shopping very close at Tanger outlet mall as well as all over Pigeon Forge. Several really good wineries within a few miles and Gatlinburg or Cade's Cove only an half hour away. We camped in a Class B Motorhome and defiantly return.

Southern Charm RV Resort, Zephyrhills, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here several days checking out the area as a potential snowbird destination. This is an Active 55+ park/ resort. Campsite was not ideal. The hookups were at the very rear of the park model behind the site. The site was not very level and tree made it a little tight. Water, power, and sewer were all fine. Having said all that, this park was AWESOME. There are some sites, but mostly all park models. The snowbirds here are very friendly and this park has a ton of stuff planned to keep you as busy as you want to be.They have an exercise room and Hot Tub as well as a heated pool. The park is also very flat and great for walking or biking. Roads were marked well but some were quite narrow. We will definitely return to this park. We camped at Southern Charm RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This resort was very convienent to the highway and WalMart was within walking distance. This is very nice park with great amenities and all hookups were placed perfectly and in great condition. This is snowbird resort and the people were very friendly. All the roads are paved and very well marked. This would be a great stopover or destination for winter. Renfro Valley RV Park, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is our stopover when we are in this area. We haven't been through in about 18 months, but nothing has changed. This campground is great for late night easy check in. The roads are easy to navigate and we have always had a pull through site. The bath house was locked this time and I don't remember it being closed before. Power, water and sewer were all in good condition and easily accessible.

This is a no frills campground that is located right off the interstate 75, but far enough away so no road noise. We like the old side behind the show barn better than the area across the creek. Make sure you call ahead to see if they are having a show. We camped at Renfro Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time staying at this park. We used to stay next door but they no longer accept PA. I wish we had checked this one out 12 years ago. This is a very nice park that was easy to navigate late night after hours. We had a back-in site, but they have a majority of pull-thru sites available. Water, power and sewer were all well maintained and accessible. We were impressed with the cleanliness of this park and the friendliness of the staff. They were helpful from the first phone call.

The bathrooms / showers were very nice with a real shower door and a great dressing area. There was a spacious laundry room with nice machines and a very comfortable lounge, adjacent to the laundry in the same building. This will be our new stopover whenever we are traveling in the area. The campground is only a mile or so from the interstate 40, with no turns once you exit the highway. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was great park that was off the main roads but close to everything. Gravel roads that were a little narrow but easily navigated. There's a roomy laundry room and bathroom / showers were very clean and nice. A small pool is available and the lakes were very peaceful. Saw some long term residents, but they were very friendly and sites were well kept. Water, power, and sewer were all good. This is a quiet park and train noise was really not intrusive, barely noticeable outside. We come to Charleston often and this will be our new campground . We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Walmart and Tanger Outlet are 3 miles down the road.

Charleston KOA, Ladson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

.This was a typical KOA, staff was very helpful and campground was quiet. We used it as a base for seeing Charleston attractions. Easy in and out with many gas stations and grocery stores and restaurants close by. Power, water, and sewer hookups all good. Park shares an entrance with a mobile home park and backs up to it on one side, but that is no problem at all. We would stay here again. We camped at Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hilton Head island was very nice and we went there over Christmas for the bike trails. You can ride most of the island,BUT NOT TO THE LIGHTHOUSE. They don't tell you until you get to a guard shack, that the bike trail is on Private property. No admittance on bicycles and no RV of any kind allowed. This includes "B" Vans or Conversion vans. Beach was great and plenty of great restaurants.

Sesquicentennial State Park, Columbia, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice park with lots of room between most sites. Water an Electric was on wrong side or at front of site on many sites. Roads were narrow with Pines on edge of roadway but we had no problems in a 33 ft Class A with Toad attached. Very nice Splash Pad and lake with rentals for canoeing, kayaking , and paddle boarding. Pedal boats also available for rent. No swimming or wading in lake. Great hiking trails that were easy to moderate in length and difficulty. Plenty of food and shopping close by .
