Green River Lake State Park, Campbellsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We came in for one night and got lucky to get a site. They are usually booked solid months in advance. We stayed in the newer section with trees over close to the store. Water and power were good but sites were very crowded with the amount of stuff that campers bring to this park. No rules about parking or driving on grass or through sites were ever enforced. Store was nicely stocked and the views were beautiful. local Domino pizza delivers to the park. Nice place but overcrowded. Would return in the off season.

Roads were paved and sites were gravel. We camped at Green River Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Park Place RV Park, Flat Rock, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet and easy to get to from interstate. Most sites are pull thru and water, electricity and sewer at each site. Gravel sites and interior roadways. No cable but plenty good OTA channels. They offer an Escapees discount but I didn't know that at the time. Wifi is available but we did not use it.

Great stop over on I-26. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Park Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camping World RV Sales of Chattanooga, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This has been our stopover between KY and GA for the last few years. There is no reservations system and the park seems to be full quite frequently now, so don't plan on staying here unless you get in early. Roads are a little tight but sites are fairly level and Water, Electricity, and Sewer are all good. Camping World is right there if you need anything and road noise is minimal. Roads and sites are gravel and access is less than a half mile off the highway. We camped at Camping World RV Sales of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Pelican Nest RV Resort and Campground, Dauphin Island, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground located in the middle of everything. The owners are super nice and the location is great. There is a bike path that you can go from one end of the island to the other on. Water, Electric, and sewer were fine and the private bathrooms with huge showers were very nice. They rent bikes and have air available to pump up bike tires. We will definitely return here. We camped at Pelican Nest RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Peach Queen Campground, Jemison, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good overnight spot right off I-65. No real amenities except for the pool which was not open. There was a lake and small playground. Sites were level grass / gravel and water, electric and sewer were all fine. Bathrooms had lights out and several "out of service" signs on some stalls. This is OK but I think overpriced for what you get. Campground would be a good Passport America park at best. We camped at Peach Queen Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We came in late and were helped and greeted and led to our site. Roads were muddy and rough, but it is winter. Men's bathroom and showers really nice, my wife said women's bathroom needs some repairs. The water, electric and sewer were fine, didn't see a cable connection. Train ran a lot and while it did not blow whistle or horn, it was very loud. Easy on and off from I-65. I would stay here again but on the other side of the park. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Raccoon Valley RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park, Heiskell, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Escapees membership. Stopped over after Christmas and park was not very full. We have stayed here before and park is great for easy on and off from the interstate. Nice sites with good water , electric, and sewer. We like the new reservation system, we called ahead and they gave us our site number so we could just park when we arrived. We will camp here again. Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped at several parks on the beach around Myrtle on both ends. This was our first visit here and will not be our last. This park is now our favorite for several reasons. They don't have hardly any golf carts nor do they allow them or bicycles after dark. The camp store is one the best stocked that I have ever seen. The pool, lazy river, and indoor pool were all very nice and well staffed at all times. The restaurant on site served a great breakfast and lunch and was reasonably priced. All sites in the beach area were pull-through with a nice cabana shed. Water, power, and cable TV were very good. This is great place to ride bicycles, as there is a bike path from the park to restaurants, WalMart, and the Outlet mall. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Anchor Down RV Resort, Dandridge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This is truly a resort. Many places claim resort in their name but this place really lives up to the title, with first class service and amazing views, sites, and amenities. All paved sites with great in-ground fire pits or above-ground stone fireplaces . The swimming pool was equipped with a great slide and bathrooms were individual "family style" rooms. Staff was very helpful and delivered firewood to site prior to our arrival. We can't wait to return here in the fall. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.
