Pala Casino RV Resort, Pala, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Just got back from our stay at Pala, and I'm totally impressed. Great staff, helpful in every way. The sites are deep and wide with tables and great hookups. The free shuttle to the casino is a plus. Great pool area and game room amenities. The only thing was the high curb to the site. Didn't affect our 5th wheel but I saw others with travel trailers that had a time getting in without scraping the hitch. I hear they supply ramps to assist but it's still a thing to watch out for. Other than that, we loved the CG and will definitely be returning soon. We camped at Pala Casino RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pechanga RV Resort & Casino, Temecula, California

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Really enjoyed our stay here. Have been to this park very many times and always enjoy our time. Rates have risen in the past couple of years. They added Premium Sites, which what I can see consist of a cement slab with a picnic table. Others "Deluxe" sites have a little plastic fence next to the driveway. All the sizes seem to be the same. Good access, very clean, helpful staff and very well maintained area. The only thing I would like to see is more "perks" since associated with the Casino, (at least they have the same name) you think they would offer, free, breakfasts, free game play etc., or other things to add to the experience. Aside from this, it's a great price and with the rates of all the California parks constantly rising, Pechanga RV Resort is pretty competitive. Oh, the dog run could be a little better maintained. As usually, even though they provide waste bags and trash bins, some folks still don't get the message and don't due their DUTY after they dogs to THEIR Dooty! We camped at Pechanga RV Resort & Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park, Mammoth Lakes, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We had been trying to make reservations for this park for a couple of months and every time we called they said they were booked up for the days we wanted. We booked another park in the area but it turned out to be a dump (another review to follow). While we were leaving the "dump" deciding not to stay, I called and took a chance to see if there were any cancellations. The machine came on time after time saying that they were busy and couldn't come to the phone. We drove over to the park and for the heck of it, I called from my cell phone while I was walking up to the office. It rang and I walked into the office area still holding my phone. I found two young girls sitting there talking about the things they were going to do that evening, not answering the phone, just ignoring it. When I went to the desk, I asked if they had any spaces available. I was told that they did have a bunch in the semi-full hookup area: No sewers. Didn't have much of a choice since we were going to stay 5 nights. At the time I was registering, another couple walked in and was told the same thing about only "Semi-Hookups" were available. "BUT" they were told that the next day there would be many people leaving from the FULL hookup area and they could move the next day. Of course they took it. When I asked about if we could do the same, I was told that they only had a couple of free spaces and they save them in case there's a problem with any of the sites and people would have to move. I guess they thought I didn't hear them, which was really strange since I was standing about 3 feet from them and the other campers that were signing in. After that, things went OK and we stayed at the Semi hookup spots. I must say that we've been going to this park for years and it's never changed, they hire the most UNprofessional people here who seem to have no interest in pleasing the customers. They spend most of their time goofing around and not paying attention to the customer's need. On more than one occasion during our stay the kids behind the desk were riding around in Golf Carts not paying attention the people or vehicles. One time two of the girls had a little kid, which I would say was about 7 or 8 years old driving the cart and I had to swerve to avoid hitting him, since he was driving head on into me. As I mentioned: we stay here from time to time, just for the fact that they sort of have a monopoly on RV parks in Mammoth Lakes with hookups. Spoke to some of the other folks around us and they expressed the same concerns. We camped at Mammoth Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way to the Balloon Fest in Albuquerque. Really enjoyed the stay. The folks that run the camp go out of their way to make you feel at home. They are a lot of fun and what can I say about the free breakfast. From waffles, fruit, juices, cookies, to biscuits and gravy. I thought the sites were a good size with plenty of room for my 30ft 5er. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Brown's Owens River Campground, Bishop, California

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming here for years and always enjoy our stay. This last week was no exception. This is a great park with really nice people staffing it. Hostess is really nice, helpful and a very funny lady. She makes you feel at home the minute you arrive. If there is one negative, it is that there doesn't seem to be any restriction for dogs. They run wild all over the park. The owners take advantage of this to let their pets do what they want, where they want. This past week we were next to a three families with 6 dogs. Everytime we went outside these "large" dogs were on us. Not only us but everyone around us. The people were nice but didn't control them even after we hinted about the problem. Nothing worse than stepping out of your rig into dog excrement. Anywho, that's the only complaint that I have. Looking forward to visiting soon. We camped at Brown's Owens River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We just returned from Sequoia RV Ranch and had a great time. This is an up and coming campground. The host was very helpful and as it turned out, we got to meet the owner whose name I forget, must be a senior moment. We had a site next to the river which was spacious and well maintained. I understand that the new owner has been there for about 2 years and is doing a wonderful job in restoring the complete campground. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a relaxing easy-to-get-to place to stay. Although the fishing was pretty bad due to the low water level, we look forward to returning soon. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.
