Crystal Lake RV Park, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Will never return here. Did not honor club discount but gave it to another patron. Not a friendly environment. Management uptight. Not friendly at all. Was a blessing to leave this park. Will never return to this place. If you can avoid this place. We camped at Crystal Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loughman Lake Lodge, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

What a great place. We love the peace and quiet of being on the river without all the city/traffic noises. Air boats are right in the area, but the sound didn't bother us. There is a restaurant/bar & grill on the premises with great food. Management couldn't have been better. Top notch people. Huge area for animals/kids to play. If you are looking for "resort" with all the fancy stuff you never use, this isn't the place. If you want nature, solitude and beauty, you'll love it here. We will definitely be back. Would have given it a 10 if they had septic. We camped at Loughman Lake Lodge in a Motorhome.

Titusville / Cape Kennedy KOA, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad place. Nothing that was impressive. Just another KOA. We stayed a week. Then went to another park for a rally, did some boon docking and then returned to stay for a month. However, upon our arrival we were told that they were not honoring the "hot deal" that they have on the internet. The price was ridiculous. So, we found a new place. Due to their refusal to honor the hot deal, we will not return to this place. We camped at Titusville / Cape Kennedy KOA in a Motorhome.

Shady Oaks RV Resort, Ganado, Texas

Overall Rating:

This is an absolutely wonderful park. The people are friendly and the park is clean. The wild life is all over the park. The beautiful oaks are fabulous. If there had been internet and cable, I would have given this park a 10. We will definitely come back here. We camped at Shady Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lazy Longhorn RV Park, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

I would have given the park a better rating if the owners handled the complaints. We had neighbors who had fights all day and night. They allowed their dogs to do their business on our grass and patio. I gave the management ample (3) notices to deal with this. They didn't. With each complaint, they said it would be taken care of. Finally, I was told that I COULD move to a new site. We decided that the solution was for us to move on to a new park. The covered pool was only covered for 7 days. We couldn't use it. This was one of the reasons we chose this park. If these things were fixed, the rating would have been much higher. But when your children don't feel safe, it just isn't worth it. We camped at Lazy Longhorn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ozona Corral RV Park (formerly Circle Bar Super 8 Motel & RV Park), Ozona, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing to write home about. Great if you are stopping along the way. NOT A DESTINATION. Just a parking lot with hookups. Has lots of large holes in the driveways. Mud holes if it is raining. We camped at Ozona Corral RV Park (formerly Circle Bar Super 8 Motel & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mostly permanent people. Kind of dumpy. Too many flashing lights. Can't use any facilities at the resort. Laundry room was big. Will only stay here if we have to. We aren't gamblers. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful Resort. The decor was fabulous. Christmas lights glowed perfectly. Office was closed. Other campers guided us to a site that was very spacious, level and easy to get into. Just a great place. We will definitely stay here if we are in the area. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Was very windy so we didn't explore. Internet barely worked. This was a quick stopover. Office staff nice when checking in. But when we had internet problems, they got BIG attitude. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Palms River Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Manufactured Home park that added RV spaces. The spaces are huge. The view is beautiful. Large pool, two hottubs, and kiddy pool. Tennis/basketball court, FREE gameroom, workout room. Would have given the park a 10 but pool not heated, hottubs were not kept even warm. Only after complaints by many rv'ers were they turned up some but not enough. Showers are just two small rooms not a bathhouse of any kind. Only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Still a nice place to stay. Staff very nice. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Motorhome.

Munds Park RV Resort, Munds Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Totally disappointed. Called ahead 3 times to make sure of the amenities being accessable. Arrived and was told all about the great amenities. Went to use these great things and found them CLOSED. After we had arrived and paid for a MONTH'S stay, they closed the gameroom and pool. NOT A FAMILY PARK. More like mobile home park for elderly residents. We have 2 children. They refused to open the pool. They lied and told us that pool was not heated. Then I asked for a refund and was told "NO". I did not back down. Called bank to stop payment, etc. Once they knew that I was seriously leaving, they did refund my money, but it was a hassle. It took 4 trips to the office with them knowing I had contacted the bank. They DO NOT care about RVers. In my opinion this is a mobile home park, not an RV Resort. DRIVE TO NEEDLES, CA and stay there. They have a real resort. We camped at Munds Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Maple Leaf RV Park, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice and clean. However, more like a MOBILE HOME PARK. Most sites filled with park owned, park model campers. Rented out to locals. Was told by residents that I needed to move my vehicle. Moved it. Management put a note on it for me to move it back. Drunk residents in pool were very disgusting in their conversations. Pool and jacuzzi were in bad shape. Needs desperate resurfacing. Hurts your feet. Train runs close behind park. Not too loud. Dog park sits directly next to train tracks. Small dogs can get out through holes in fence and on to tracks. We chose not to use it for our Yorkies. Just cleaned up after them at our site. Much safer. Overall, if you are just passing through and need a quick nights sleep would be fine. Wouldn't stay longer. Again, VERY CLEAN. We camped at Maple Leaf RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Redwood Coast Cabins & RV Resort (formerly Eureka Campground), Eureka, California

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is nice. The Pool/jacuzzi was wonderful. The older people in office were great, but the young girls not very friendly. We had mechanical problems and had to stay there longer than planned. When we asked if we could stay longer than a week we were told by young staff that 1 week limit. If we didn't vacate after that 7 day period we would be towed away. We talked with older couple who told me we could stay as long as needed. The flowers are breathtaking. The only down sides to the park are no trees and VERY VERY slow if at all internet service. I would stay here again if passing through. The community not my type of destination, there are too many homeless, but none in park itself. We camped at Redwood Coast Cabins & RV Resort (formerly Eureka Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Main Street Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

When I called to get info on this "park", I was told that there was shade, that it was kid friendly, that we would have use of the hotel facilities. However, what I got was a parking lot. No shade with the exception of 4 spots. Kid friendly. Homeless people all around the area. People from area told us we were not safe. Only time they saw security was after a big incident. I have yet to see any security. "Dog Area" long way away. Using the hotel pool will be pretty much impossible. It is down the street on the other side of a 4 lane road. Internet only available if you bring laptop inside casino/hotel lobby. Again, have to walk long way to use anything. Only good thing is the price. But I would rather pay more for a place where I feel safe and family can feel comfortable. Would not stay here again. We camped at Main Street Casino in a Fifth Wheel.
