A Deming Roadrunner Rv Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a dusty, gravel parking lot. As an overnight stop right off I-10 it's fine, but I would never stay here as a destination. Wifi was poor. We camped at A Deming Roadrunner Rv Park in a Motorhome.

Western Way RV Resort (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well kept park just outside of downtown Tucson and very close to Saguaro National Park and the Museum of the Sonoran Desert. The wifi was exceptional, the best I've had in five months of traveling. We were actually able to stream Netflix! We camped at Western Way RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

There are other parks in town, but none is as nice as Grizzly. The place is spotless with level, gravel sites, a cement patio as well as a sidewalk from your car to the patio. There is also grass on either side of the site. Grizzly is a little pricey, but you are right in town. There's a nice store and the employees were very helpful. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

At this campground you are strictly paying for the location. It is the heart of Jackson Hole just a few miles from Grand Tetons National Park. Rigs seem to line up at night to get any sites not reserved. It is a simple campground with gravel sites behind a hotel. One site has the dump station (probably not used by most people) in it. Along the edge of the campground there is a power station and I would not like to stay there. The sites by the power station seemed to be the only back in sites. The hotel also includes a pool that can be used by campers as well as a saloon, restaurant and drive through liquor store. There is also a truck washing station which is available to campers. I enjoyed staying right in Jackson Hole so I would stay here again. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park in a convenient location. When you go in to register you can't escape the incredible aroma of smoked ribs. Instead of having a small store they have a small restaurant. The owners cook and serve. The park has level sites (all pull throughs) with gravel pads and at least 20 feet of grass on each side. The campground is surrounded by a field so there is no noise. Each site has a built in grill. The wifi was excellent as were the ribs. For less than $20 each we had pork ribs (another reviewer said they were beef but they were pork), giant smoked loaded potatoes and a salad or coleslaw. We took our dessert to go. They have a full bar. The town of Arco doesn't have much, but they were the first city in the entire free world to be powered by atomic power. The park is also only a few miles from Craters of the Moon National Monument. I would definitely stop here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crooked River Ranch RV Park, Crooked River Ranch, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This area is the high desert of central Oregon with snowcapped mountains in the distance. The campground is part of a resort community and amenities at the resort like golf and pool are available to campers. The campground is located on a cliff overlooking the Crooked River and has several open green areas. The sites are different sizes so ask to ride around first and look at available sites. We camped at Crooked River Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is the closest private RV park to Crater Lake (about 3 miles away). There are a number of parks in the national forest, but none have any hookups. This park was rustic with a state park feel. The work campers were very friendly, but we didn't see any maintenance like lawn mowing going on while we were there for four nights and the park could have used a little sprucing up. I also don't know why we were put in a narrow pull through site near the office when the park was at least one third empty and there were many better sites. You can see Diamond Lake through the trees. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort, Tillamook, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The first thing to understand about this "resort" is that it is made up of three separate camping areas. Two have access to the bay and the third is across the street and up the hill. If you are offered this area do not stay at this park. We found that out the hard way. We managed to get our 40 ft. rig in a 39 ft. site without hitting the roof overhang on the bath house. The back of our rig hung over a hill into the next site. We faced the bath house and the dumpsters. People constantly walked through our site to get to the bath house. There was no room for our car on the site so we parked along the wall. There were no other sites available. The wifi was good and the management was pleasant. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bandon RV Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a parking lot on 101. It's very neat, the management is nice and the town of Bandon was well worth visiting. Some sites are so close together you will not be able to open your awning. The biggest draw is that they give a 25% discount for Good Sam. We camped at Bandon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Westgate Motor & Trailer Court, Ocean Park, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We had an oceanfront site, which meant that if we stood on our toes inside the motorhome we could see a sliver of ocean. Between the park and the ocean there is a path which is about two football field lengths. The site and park were adequate except that people have unleashed dogs all over the park and they don't pick up after them. We called the office to have someone come to our site and clean up some of the dog excrement and they did send someone. If I were to come to the peninsula again I would probably stay in Long Beach, which is a little bit livelier. We camped at Westgate Motor & Trailer Court in a Motorhome.

The drive to discover the whole peninsula is a great day trip. Don't miss the Cape Disappointment State Park. Also, we had a great meal (with lots of craft beers available) at the Lost Roo in Long Beach.

Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA so the sites are narrow. We had a pull-through site at the end of the row and the site was very wide. Our "deluxe" site was only 30 amp and had no sewer. At the end of our stay, we could not maneuver our 40 footer to the dump station easily so we pulled into an empty site to dump. Honey wagon service would have been $20. This is a convenient location for both Port Angeles and Sequim. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Brookhollow RV Park, Kelso, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a neat, clean, plain campground very convenient to the towns of Longview and Kelso right off I-5. We had a pullthrough site, but the car was still on the street behind our 40 footer so we detached it. There was a roomy grassy area alongside each rig. Most sites have a tree, but it didn't interfere with satellite. Wifi was very weak during the day and better late at night and in the early morning. We were allowed to receive two packages while at the campground and the manager called us when the mail arrived. I would have given the park a higher rating but for their guest policy which allows any number of guests. Our neighbor had 12 friends/family member there each night including 6 screaming kids. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice resort just outside the cute town of Gig Harbor. It is very neat and clean. The sites are carved into the hillside and and roomy length-wise, but all different sizes width-wise. Our site was very narrow, but we had a nice area behind the rig to put our chairs. All the sites are gravel although our gravel was golf ball size and hard on the pup's feet. I was careful when I walked, also, so I didn't turn my ankle. There is only one place to hook up the car or unhook it and that blocks the entrance to the resort. I would stay here again because it was very convenient. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Whispering Pines RV Park & Center, Cle Elum, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well kept rustic park right off I-90. Our pull through site was long enough, but narrow. The park is right on the Yakima River however there is a four foot berm so you have to go up on the berm to see the water. People were walking along the berm and it's wide enough to take your chairs up there. I got satellite. We did not have a sewer connection, but we were only staying for one night. There is an RV service facility on site. I don't know anything about it because we arrived late on Saturday. Next time I would stay for a couple of nights. We camped at Whispering Pines RV Park & Center in a Motorhome.
