TripleBrook Family Campground, Blairstown, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very nice. It has a pool for families, as well as an adult pool. The restrooms are clean but dated. We had a level site but it was on top of the hill and that was a little tough to go up and down. The kids are not allowed to ride their bikes down the hill so they had to walk them down each time. Also, they charge $5 per child per night, so that can really add alot to the base rate of $45. They do not have cable TV but the WiFi worked well. They had some fun planned activities and the staff was very helpful and friendly. All in all, we had a pleasant time here and we will camp here again. We camped at TripleBrook Family Campground in a Motorhome.

We figured we would give this campground one more try and boy were we sorry! First of all, there is NO pool! That's right, Memorial Day weekend and they did not have a pool. Management said they hope to have a pool by mid-July, but cannot make any guarantees! The next complaint is that it is a poorly run campground. Sites are not kept tidy (old trash was left in the fire pit when we pulled in), bathrooms are a mess, the water slide is old and dangerous, I could go on and on! "Security" only hassles the kids but the party people driving drunk in golf carts and worse yet, in vehicles with cans of beer, are not hassled! Long story short, avoid this place! We camped at Buena Vista Recreation Destination in a Motorhome.

Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $47.00

Terrific campground! The entire campground is immaculate. The bathrooms, showers, pool: everything is sparkling clean! The kids had a blast participating in the campground activities, swimming and fishing. One reason I did not give it a 10 is that they do not have soap or hand sanitizer in the bathrooms. The other reason is that if you rent one of their golf carts they do not allow you to drive it at night and you must walk pretty far to get to the entertainment hall if your site is in the 100 to 400 area and want to participate in bingo, bonfires, Saturday night entertainment. They should equip the golf carts with lights if they want you to rent them. Otherwise, the place was great. We will definitely be back. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Buena Vista Recreation Destination , Buena, New Jersey

I have camped here before and find that the major problem is the restrooms. They never seem to be kept clean. The campground is large and they have made many improvements. The lake is nice and so is the pool. There are organized activities for kids and a very large place for a long bike ride. However, unless they get a handle on keeping those bathrooms clean, we won't be back. We camped at Buena Vista Recreation Destination in a Motorhome.

Sea Pirate Campground, West Creek, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The mosquitos were awful! It truly ruined our trip because there was no way to get away from them. This was made worse because the grass on our site was above our ankles. No one had mowed in a while. It was especially high where the electric and sewer connections were. The site was big and pretty level. We went fishing and, again, were swarmed by mosquitos and gnats! I have camped in Southern Jersey before but have never encountered such a bug problem. The restrooms were clean and pool was nice but I don't think we will be back again. We camped at Sea Pirate Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground! Clean, clean, clean! There are not many organized activities, however, they are right in the middle of everything to do in Amish Country. We will definitely be back. We camped at Mill Bridge Village Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Butterfly Camping Resort, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $45.00

I am giving this a 3 only because the bathrooms were clean and the pool is nice. If not for that, I would have rated it lower. The attitude of the owners is awful! The seasonals are out of control and definitely make you feel uncomfortable. I will not be back. We camped at Butterfly Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
