Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground has a nice view but you are lined up like cattle in the sites. My biggest complaint is they dare charge 2 dollars per day extra if you run your A/C. They also charge 3 dollars if someone wants to visit you while staying at the campground. I found these charges irritating enough to warrent trying any other campground in Estes Park. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Travel Trailer.

North Park Campground (formerly North Park Walden KOA), Walden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The setting is nice but the sites need improvement. The hookups are too far forward so I couldn't back in my trailer as far as I'd like because my connections would not reach. The playground is old and need of repair. However, they do have numerous things for kids to play on. If you look at this KOA campground on the internet, it will show ATV trails nearby. We woke to kids doing laps around the campground on 4 wheelers at 8 AM and they continued for 2 hours. I asked the front office if that was acceptable and the girl stated "as long as they don't act like idiots". Nevermind they were breaking the 5 MPH speed limit. I found this to be unacceptable and will seriously consider other campgrounds before going back to this KOA. We camped at North Park Campground (formerly North Park Walden KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in early June when the weather wasn't great. The campground wasn't ready for summer visitors and there wasn't anyone around. The facilities are in good condition and the one staff person we met was very nice. Our biggest problem was the playground. It is in terrible condition and even had broken glass on the ground. We will not go back to this park because of the horrible playgrouund. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is very friendly and the park, overall, is well maintained. The sites are not perfectly level and my neighbor had to use a shovel to dig a hole to level his 5th wheel. The road around the park is tight and a large RV would have problems; especially with the steep grade. The highway next to the campground is noisy but traffic is scarce after 11 PM. The kids really enjoyed the playgrounds. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes in a Travel Trailer.
