Camping here was a very pleasant experience. The sites are large and have fire rings, grills, picnic tables and on many sites: large decks with views of the river. All aspects of this park are top notch including the playground and bike trail. It would be nice to have on-site sewer, but as with most COE campgrounds there is only the single dump station. This campground is very much like real camping right out in nature, but with modern amenities. This is our favorite spot so far in Alabama and we will certainly return.

This is a excellent campground. It is extremely well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were probably the best I've seen at a campground. A very family friendly campground. We really enjoyed the pool; however it would have been nice if there had been a playground as well. Wi-Fi worked well as did all of the other amenities. The campground was almost full, but we were fortunate to get a spot right on the water. Not a lot of shade, but some great views of the river. It's right next to the downtown area so there is a lot of eating and entertainment close by. The spaces were a bit close but not to the point of being uncomfortable. We had a nice experience and would definitely stay here again.

This was our first outing in our motorhome. We stayed two days and had an overall nice experience. Many of the sites are close together, though the one we had was shady with a good amount of space. The bathrooms were relatively clean, but very dated. We would likely camp here again.
