If you like to fish, boat, or hang out on the beach, then this is definitely the park for you. The park itself is clean, quiet, and patrolled regularly by staff and law enforcement. The views of the river and ocean are spectacular. The campsites are well-spaced, but some are a little less-level than others. Riverview spots (1-14)are closer together, but have a great breeze most of the day. The back loop sites have partial shade, but also have more biting bugs. Bring your bicycles for plenty of biking. Bring the boat for lots of great fishing! There were 2 bath houses with laundry facilities in close proximity to all sites. All activity areas had bathrooms close by and there were trash cans spaced conveniently throughout the park. We will definitely be back again!

This was our first visit to Blue Spring S.P. This was a typical state park facility with limited campground amenities. Sites range from very small to just large enough for a 30-35' camper to fit in, and have adequate room outside. Though we saw one large rig jammed in a spot, I would not recommend anything larger than 30'. Sites were very private and the park was quiet day and night. Bicycles are recommended since the swimming and boat cruise area are a little bit of a walk from the campground. There is a nice paved bike trail just outside the gates, too. The spring was absolutely beautiful and a mask and snorkel will allow you to look at all of the fish swimming below. The park gets crowded quickly with day use visitors on hot days, so weekday camping may be best. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. If you will need the bath /restroom facilities, then I would suggest choosing a site near one of the two in the park.

Beautiful and clean park! The staff and camp voluteers were pleasant and helpful. Our site was spacious and easy to get our 30' camper in and out of. The only slight negative was how the table and fire ring are behind the camper. We came prepared with bathing suits and a canoe, but could not use either. The park is located on a bluff with beautiful views of the river, but access only from the boat ramp. Due to the swift current, a motorboat is suggested. The mostly shaded, paved roads are great for a bike ride.

A very nice, clean campground. We stayed in the newer section near the river this visit. The sites are wide and sufficient for your camper, canopies, and tables. The sites are a mixture of sand and shells, so bring a broom and mats. The ocean is across the street and the river runs along the back of the campground. Fishing, swimming, and boating are all good. The camp store is fairly well-stocked which is a plus since the nearest grocery store is several miles away in St. Augustine. The roads are dirt, but are still good for biking.
