Fort Whaley Family Campground, Whaleyville, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped here over Memorial Day Weekend 2005 and again 3 weeks later. Restrooms very clean and staff were all friendly. Outdoor pool clean and a new playground for kids ages 4-10 was just built. We took advantage of the free use of water park at Frontiertown but prefer this campground to stay at. The drive to Assateague and/or Ocean City isn't bad - 15 minutes at the most. We camped at Fort Whaley Family Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2004 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We heard many wonderful things about this campground. Unfortunately when I called to inquire about reservations, I was treated rather poorly. The dates I requested were for 2 nights and the reservationist said they have a 3 night minimum and hung up on me. He didn't give me a chance to say that we were flexible the night before or after the 2 dates we wanted. I called back and was told the dates were sold out and again hung up on before I could inquire about different dates. It seems they cater more to their seasonal residents rather than campers. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.
