Poche Plantation, Convent, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here three nights and was very pleased with the pull through site. The back ins are really close and would work for a big rig but would be difficult to back in. We were escorted to our site and helped get in. There are lot of long term residents that work on the river barges. We stayed here in a MH and would stay here again. Great place to stay when looking at the plantations, most are within 30 minutes. We camped at Poche Plantation in a Motorhome.

Persimmon Hill (Enid Lake) COE, Enid, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on Site 56 backing up to the lake but not right on it. It is very clean and easy in and out for big rig. Not very close to restaurants. We will stay here again when we can get a site, they do have some drive through sites, but are usually taken for the weekend. COE. We camped at Persimmon Hill (Enid Lake) COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are a couple local places, but we drove to Batesville twice, and once to Greenwood for the Crystal Grill. Don't miss that, great country and Italian food. About 40 miles but well worth the drive.

Fort De Soto Campground, Tierra Verde, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped here for the last three years, great place on the water, sand sites and large enough for 43' RV if you can get into the site. They refuse to cut the brush and trees plus they have trash bins just in the wrong place for many of the sites. They have several pull through sites that would work but they are usually taken. We will stay again if we can get a pull through. The web site gives no information as to the access with a larger rig. We stayed two weeks with no sewer so we had to dump. When we arrived it took 45 minutes to get into site. I went to office when I was going to dump and asked to move to one of the pull thrus, two were empty but they would not let me move. Both sites stayed empty for two days. One was occupied by a 19 ' trailer. The help is not concerned about the campers. We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Motorhome.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight and was well pleased. The owners were very helpful. Our keypad messed up and when we got back from dinner could not get in. The window was opened and owner's son was put through window and opened the door. Good over night place; not a lot of things to see in Waco. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Motorhome.

Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel, Eastport, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small campground with site on water. The tides are amazing. The weather changes with the tide, warm one minute cold the next. We camped on the waterfront lots, full hookups, good 50 amp electric. The only problem we had was we sat through Hurricane Arthur, no electrical, no water, trees on roads, had to stay another day but it was free, We missed the "Bean Hole Beans" because of the hurricane, our loss. We camped at Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel in a Motorhome.

Broad Cove Campground (Parks Canada), Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good campground, but the trees need to be trimmed. They are too low for big rigs. All grass sites. The electrical was usually about 112-115 volts, 30 amp only. It is within a short walk to the ocean but no waterfront sites. The worst thing about this area is getting there. The last miles to get there are worse than dirt roads, rough, low shoulders, and narrow. We moved from here to Chéticamp, much better. If you do go to Broad Cove, make the longer drive and go through Chéticamp. Our second site was large and we had enough room to get away from the trees. We camped at Broad Cove Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center, Port Clinton, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here four days our granddaughter was shooting air rifles. Nice park. No shade to speak of but had good electric. I would stay here again only if I had someone shooting. While we was there they was experiencing a May Fly hatch of biblical proportions. There were dead flies everywhere. It was impossible to keep them out of our R. Bad smell but it was over about the time we left. Good paved level site. ADMIN NOTE: WiFi is available at the clubhouse We camped at Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center in a Motorhome.

Nice place with a lot of permanent residents. GPS is wrong we had to drive ten miles to turn around. It is a little far off the interstate; entrance is narrow. Our site was mostly dirt. Good for one night and would stay here again. We camped at Junius Ponds Cabins & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Camping World - Good Sam Campground of Oxford, Anniston, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but a little close to interstate. The sites are fairly level nice pull-throughs. The problem is the sites are gravel, large gravel which makes it hard to walk. We came in late, site instruction on door, no problem. Wi-Fi was really good, we was on site 20, Wi-Fi was was between us and the next site. This park is part of the RV Superstore next door. We are here for three days and would stay here again. A great convenient place for a one night stay over just off I-20. We camped at Camping World - Good Sam Campground of Oxford in a Motorhome.

Allatoona Landing Campground, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This a beautiful park but only a few sites have sewer, we booked a sewer site but ended up on non-sewer site. Went to office and asked for sewer. Was given two sites. Both were too out of level so we moved back to original site. The worst thing about this park is the trains. Every two hours a train comes within feet of the property and blows horn to make sure every one is awake. The staff was nice but we were not offered assistance to the site. Most of the sites are empty. There were level sites with sewer but we were not offered one. This park is OK for a day or two but not good for us for longer periods. Other than the trains, this is a nice park We camped at Allatoona Landing Campground in a Motorhome.

River Vista Mountain Village, Dillard, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

we stayed here for three days in October, we are located on a premium site, not much shade but good level gravel sites. there have been numerous Halloween events include haunted house, many campers competed in Halloween decorations. We stayed here because of the closeness to the Highlands. Very friendly staff, clean campground, the pool was in the process of being closed. Everything was a 9+ and would stay here again. We camped at River Vista Mountain Village in a Motorhome.

Elk Creek Campground, Grand Lake, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week, great place, gravel site. I think we had the only pull-through that was a pull in parallel parking place, it was a tight fit for our 43'. Even though we leveled it; it was tough from side to side. The owners were great; we loved the city Grand Lake. We camped at Elk Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very expensive campground for what you get. It is very very dusty, sites are gravel and not level, really close, I could not put my awning out because it hit the coach in the next space. When we arrived no help in find space, this is a very large campground and growing, construction dust. Internet was spotty at best, had trouble getting on. The best thing going for this campground it is the best available close too the park. I would stay here and put up with the problems because of the location. The food at the restaurants was OK but very expensive, I will say that food seemed to be very expensive around Bryce Canyon, but it was worth the trip, beautiful. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
