Camp RiversLanding, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

First of all the park is now called Camp River's Landing. The pool, laundry and bathrooms were clean and very nice. All back-in's and even though there is no view I chose a river site which overlooks a hotel and go Kart track. Luckily our site had some trees on the other side of the river to block some of the view. We were their 7 nights and I am very grateful that a weekend camper pulled in for only 2 nights on our door/awning side. If they would have had slides we would have covered them with our awning. The dog park was totally stupid across the road and 90% of it was on hill going towards the river. The location was a good area for site seeing. We camped at Camp RiversLanding in a Fifth Wheel.

Advanced RV Resort, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The park is great, gated and super clean. The pool was warm and relaxing. Problem was a poor trip plan. Nothing to do in the area and hot and no shade. It's either a overnight visit or you live and work there. Cable was good, internet worked sometimes but it was boring. We paid for a week and left early even though there was no refund. Dog parks were extremely nice. We camped at Advanced RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There was plenty of shopping and restaurants in Pearland but Houston it's a busy area with lots of traffic and crazy one way streets that run along interstate and toll road. Driving was a nightmare and I lived in a city all my life!

Cowtown RV Park, Aledo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are ok but the park is 90% permanent working people so it's not the same for people who travel. The pool was way up front so we didn't use and didn't ever see anyone in it. The cable was terrible, all snowy had to put the cable thru are window and hook directly to TV. Not a lot to do in the area but we were only there a few days and it was very hot. I was grateful to get one of the few big shade trees over camper. Laundry up front was clean and the dog runs were okay. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Upgraded our site to paved pull thru with nice outdoor furniture already on site. Pool was great, some shade and cable tv. Only downside was my wifi only got a signal in the middle of the night! Dog park wasn't huge but enough to throw the ball. Major plus having someone to help you get tickets, inform you of things to see and the shuttle to downtown was perfect. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Would have gave it a ten but they advertised a large and small dog park and we have a high energy terrier only to find the large park was closed because they are expanding the RV sites and the small park was pitifully tiny. No ball throwing here. Did find a public dog park in the next town. Sites at park were paved and roomy, cable was good, pool was nice but wifi worked only sometimes. Very clean but hilly park. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Majestic Oaks RV Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Hard to rate because the park is clean and the sites paved but super tight. If you have a larger RV with slides forget having a table and chairs. Then they have these benches at each site that are in your way. Pool is freezing and tiny. No discount except Good Sa. Some places give an AARP or Veterans - not here I asked. Didn't get all the cable stations and never got WiFi. Next time in Biloxi we'll pass. We camped at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beware of the ANTS! The office nor the "Camp Hosts" told us about the horrible ant problem in the park. The next morning I woke to a parade of ants marching all over the top of my camper. We bought $50 worth of spray and traps. Left next day and still had a problem for 3 more days! We have been there before but in October. Great pull thru, view of lake, cable and internet. The ants just ruined it for us. We camped at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park's main draw was that it was "walking distance" to town. Well, it was one steep hill and if your RV is low this isn't the place to go. It definitely wasn't "big rig friendly". Plenty of other flat parks in the area. Never went in the pool, it was cold and again not convenient. Fenced in dog "area" was a disgrace. Sharp rocks, on a huge slant, dark and muddy. Again, wifi wouldn't work and there cable TV is very limited. We were on the very bottom of this tiered park. Original site they wanted us to go in was impossible to fit our RV and truck. Only plus is booking tickets to the shows with the office but the young woman (who I believe was the daughter) knows nothing about a campground and even though she was nice, shouldn't be working there. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Fifth Wheel.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean RV park but when it's close to 100 degree's shade is a must. No tree's at all. Nice concrete level spaces and pool was small and not swim friendly but it was nice. Dog park was a retention pond which was fenced in so my high energy level terrier got plenty of exercise! Wifi was very slow and laundry was small. Nice shopping nearby but we were visiting relatives most of the time. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cajun RV Park, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Train noise didn't bother us with air on and windows closed. We just picked the wrong weekend (Labor Day) to be there. Staff super nice. Sites near pool totally odd, no way to figure out one space to another. Laundry very clean and casino's, restaurants and beaches close by. Skipped pool, way too crowded. We camped at Cajun RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great overnight park. I would have gave it a 10 if there were shade trees. Nice dog park, pool, cable, Wi-Fi, cement pads and easy in and out to interstate. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Fifth Wheel.

Santee Lakes Campground, Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $33.00

Depressing run down park even for an overnighter. I never saw so many "vintage" campers. No cable or internet and we didn't even get sewer so I thought price per night was high. Only seasonal people there, who were very nice. I guess the lake is the reason they stay because the park is a dump. We camped at Santee Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gee, can you make a park in the northeast that doesn't have a 100 hills! Very difficult for dog walking although they did have a decent dog park we drove to. Two pools and they were both freezing. Hardly no one in them, not even kids! I knew this was a seasonal park, even though people were friendly, not so great for travelers. Laundry was very busy and small for such a huge park, wound up going to town. I had problems with the internet, cable okay and decent gravel back in. This place was convenient for sight seeing in Cape Cod. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Paradise Park Resort Campground, Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

If your from Quebec you will love it here. I thought I crossed the border into Canada. Not too many people from the USA so there wasn't any extensive conversation with anyone. Pool wasn't heated as far as I'm concerned. Shuttle to the beach for a few dollars which was convenient. Good cable and Wi-Fi. The dog park was a disgrace with rotted trees, dark, dirty and unless your dog was a German Shepherd they could escape under the fence! Dryer's need replacing, it took forever to finish the laundry. We camped at Paradise Park Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
