It is off the beaten path, and very quiet. They lost our reservation, but luckily there was not a crowd expected. Some of the long-term residents were odd individuals that made you feel creepy, but if we stayed on our side of the campgrounds they stayed on their side. It is not an RV park, meaning the sites are not clearly established, we were allowed to par nearly anywhere we wanted and at any angles that would allow our traveling party to create a space for us to gather. The few interactions with the staff were friendly. The town of Folsum and Covington nearby were friendly small towns to occupy your time in. We really enjoyed our trip to the area.

We really enjoyed the park, well shaded, and comfortable. We stayed two nights for the weekend. We were in sites 9 and 10, close to the river, but no easy access to the river and when we were able to get in the water, there was not really a place for the kids to play in the water. The two sites were great for our two trailers and we really enjoyed sitting around and visiting in the park. The park was full, but not crowded and people were out at their trailers and social. It was a very comfortable park, we would stay here again if in the Seguin area.

Very clean, very attractive park. It was very tight for my trailer and very narrow for my group that was camping. The spaces that we were in on the river were to narrow for real camping. If you stay in the trailer the whole time it would be great, but we like to sit outside and visit. The water was cold, but that is the Guadalupe River for you.

We've camped here often over the past 8 years. It has always been a great host and a clean site. Very friendly campers, few distractions, awesome views of the intercoastal waterway and watching tug boats go by. We visit at least four times per year and always stay at Crystal Canal. It is close enough to the beach, the store, gas station, liquor store, and even the ferry ride to Galveston is an adventure.

Poor quality of spots. We have stayed here three times: twice in pull through sites that are more like a driveway and hold water. Once in a really small site that was more like stuck in the bushes. We only use this park as a last resort when we want to go to Galveston.
