Fontainebleau State Park, Mandeville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very poor drainage, stays wet for over a week after a storm. We stayed in the south campground. Weekends get crazy starting Thursday night. Very nice place, close to shopping (5 miles). A long bike path crosses the park road. Pelican park is across the route 190 with a wonderful dog park. We camped at Fontainebleau State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tickfaw State Park, Springfield, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice park. It's quite a way to shopping, very quiet. It was flooded in August 2016, about five feet of standing water. They've done an outstanding job rebuilding the place. It has 30 RV sites and a separate section for tent campers. Nicest RV bathroom I've ever been in. We camped at Tickfaw State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fontainebleau State Park, Mandeville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park "old campground" is like an old prostitute with way too much cheap makeup. Bathrooms filthy, washing machines out of order for a long time. Lots of standing dead trees waiting to fall on campers. Many signs of poor management and insufficient or mis spent funds. Watched a host use his sewer hose to dump something into the ditch next to his rig, and he's across the street from the dump station. I hope it was just his grey tank!! The rest of park looks very nice and the location is great for access to wonderful food. The price for LA state park camping just went up about 20℅ and they now charge sales tax around 10℅, so it's not a great deal anymore. We camped at Fontainebleau State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Liz's where ya at has great breakfast and lunch. SAIA's has incredible shrimp PO boy for $6.99. it might be SALA'S. They have a large variety of PO boys. They have a large statue of a Hereford bull out front as a landmark.
