Battle Run COE, Summersville, West Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground sese very heavy use during the summer months due to it's abundant amount of waterfront campsites. It is ideal for someone who wishes to boat on the pristine Summersville Lake.

The sites are basic electric only. Most have 50 amp service and some have shaded areas. We have stayed here several times in the past in different loops and have found that the spacing is adequate and the sites are good and level.

Reservations are extremely difficult to get at this campground, so you just have to keep checking back for a site. Overall, it is fairly quiet and is patrolled by the Deputy Sheriff.

My family and friends love this campground and never pass up a chance to stay the weekend. I gave an overall rating of "good" because I think for an "excellent" rating a campground needs to have more utilities at it's sites. We camped at Battle Run COE in a Motorhome.

Mountain Lake Campground & Cabins, Summersville, West Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

My family and I found this campground to be very nice and clean. The restrooms and showers where well maintained and appeared to be cleaned daily. There is on-site security that patrols and enforces the speed limits and quiet hours. There is also daily trash pickup at all of the campsites. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the same as previous posts, the dust from the gravel access roads. However, we enjoyed our stay and thought the prices where reasonable. We have decided to return sometime in the near future. We camped at Mountain Lake Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Bulltown Camp COE, Burnsville, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Bulltown Campground is located on Burnsville Lake and my family has camped there many times before. In all of our trips, the campground is always clean and the staff are always helpful. There is plenty of playground equipment in all of the loops and adequate shower and restroom facilities. The only complaint that I have is that a great deal of the sites aren't very level, and sometimes it takes a great deal of work to get the unit level. My family and I seem to always end up there at least once a year, and we will likely stay there again in the near future. Overall, this is a good campground with a lot of sites. We recommend it. We camped at Bulltown Camp COE in a Motorhome.
