Stayed here 1 month for $600.00. Nice grassy sites but not are all level. Friendly staff and helpful. This is a beautiful park. Well kept, clean and safe. Has boat launch and rentals. We would stay here again in a flash. Very pleased. Good free WiFi. AT&T cell phone service poor but Verizon works good. We camped at Sugar Barge Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Pacific Dunes Ranch and RV Resort, Oceano, California

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not for everybody. Not much in amenities. All sites are dirt and dusty. They do monthly stays at $700.00. Lots of weekend beach bums and kids. WiFi at extra cost. Staff is friendly. It looks like it was a nice park at one time but is pretty run down. We might stay here again if all the other parks are full. We camped at Pacific Dunes Ranch and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. This is one of the best we have stayed in. Staff was great and friendly. The Friday night Bar B.Q. was good. Price was a little high but most of California coast areas are high so bite the bullet and stay here. It was a nice experience. The only reason for rating it a 9 instead of a 10 is because there is some new growth on the trees that rubbed on the top of RV's, (one of my pet peeves), one guy had to cut a limb to get into his site. We would stay here again. Stay here and you won't be sorry. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 weeks. Our space did not have cable TV but our rooftop dome worked great here. The only downside to this park is the WiFi connection was very limited, it will slow you down to a crawl and cut you off if you use it very much. This park is great! Has a good location, and was clean and friendly. Lots of kids on the weekends. The Lakes are beautiful. The fishing is slow and there's no trout this time of year, only small catfish etc. The park clubhouse has weekly things going on like pot lucks, entertainment, etc. Laundry is large and clean. For the price and location, this is the best place to stay in San Diego area. We will come here again. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.
