Lions RV Park

Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay:

The park is the best run park we stayed in this winter. We stayed a month and the time was extremely enjoyable. We paid $325.00 a month plus electricity. The park has a 5 acre fishing lake that you don't need a Texas fishing license to fish in as the lake is privately owned. The owners are extremely nice as well as helpful people. We learned they are putting in four new pads that will be 40' by 24' and covered. This has prompted us to consider coming back to spend the entire winter next year. I wish more parks were as neat, clean, and well run as this park. Congratulations to the owners, as I generally don't have this many good things to say about a park.

Guess the owner's attitude changed: the showers overflowed when the washer was used and the owner didn't seem to be too anxious to spend the money to get it fixed. Hate washing my feet in somebody's dirty clothes water.

The owner will tell you anything to get your business. The park isn't real quiet. There were a lot of parties, kids running through your campground and drinking. The WI-FI is available if you sit at the table outside where the kids are playing the electronic games and let the mosquitoes carry you away. We paid for a month and only stayed 2 weeks. It wasn't a real pleasant experience.

We are staying at Classic RV Park near Hardenville, MO. The camping rates are very reasonable...$20 a night for full hookup. The price gets much better as you stay longer, $90 weekly and $230 monthly. We don't think the price can get much better for a month for pull-through site and full hookup. The park offers propane fills, shower rooms, and laundry facilities. The sites are all level, plenty of trees for shade, picnic tables, and grass. Very quiet place to stay, and the owner is extremely helpful. Best part is you are only 3 miles from a small clear river or creek to fish or play in and the water is crystal clear. We really like it because there is a boat launch on Norfork Lake only 3 miles away too. The monthly price rivals the best senior age price in Corps of Engineers parks only here you have full hookups.
