Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I am prejudiced: had a technical issue and the staff helped me get a mobile RV repair man (great job, solved the problem). Site is totally level, long enough to not have to disconnect toad, wide enough for slide-outs, easily accessed with all hook-ups close. Good wifi and cable. Very comvenient to 1-10 and yes: I will stay here again. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

The location alone is uniquely Monument Valley. Cannot get a lot closer and park your RV with full hook-ups and the very extensive amenities associated with the lodge. This is our 4th time and there surely will be a 5th time and more. There is a pool (never used), showers, etc. close to the sites. All previous sites gave excellent views of Monument Valley but this site only offered views of the next RV. Urge you to ask for end of row away from office (close to campground), alternatively the top row in order to get fabulous views. There are free John Wayne movies at the lodge, their restaurant has delicious Navajo Tacos (order the small - the regular will feed a family of 4). Views are simply fantastic. One of my favorite places on earth! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure you take the very expensive all day tour ($140 incl lunch) through Mystery and Monument Valleys - an unforgettable experience especially if your Navajo guide/driver is as good as all of ours have been (done this tour 3 times and learn/see many new things each time). Spend the few dollars and visit the new hotel at the drive entrance to Monument Valley.

Route 66 RV Park, Edgewood, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

No trees, no picnic tables, seemingly lots of long termers, no cable l, nothing to encourage you to sit outside (own chairs) or cook outside (provide own table for setting grill on). Strictly a 1-night pull through place. Site not very level but hook-ups are fine. We camped at Route 66 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Moab KOA, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

We had a spectacular "premium" site with unobstructed views of the mountains, fabulous concrete patio with table and chairs. Next site set back at an angle so neighbor and his lines are not an issue. Sewer close and excellent location: below the level of the tires! No shade. There is a new pool, heated to 85 degrees. Just South of Moab. I will definitely stay here again, in a very expensive premium site. It is simply a good investment! While very expensive, if you can get site 114, it will be worth it! We camped at Moab KOA in a Motorhome.

Springville / Provo KOA, Springville, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for one night in a pull-through site. It was level and long enough. The next site left and right seemed only inches away with picnic table at sewer outlet. No cable but good over the air reception. My main objection is the total lack of space between sites. It also seemed to have a lot of long term guests. I will not stay here again. We camped at Springville / Provo KOA in a Motorhome.

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort), Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Set in groups of mature pine trees, the distance to the next site is measured in yards, not feet. Although very expensive, we felt it was well worth that expense: privacy and nature all with the needed hook-ups. No wifi, phone, or cable. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and I know there will be many more. We believe this to be the most beautiful RV park setting anywhere! Tips for other Campers:

There is a gas station with store, gift shop, restaurant, etc. located just outside the South entrance to Yellostone NP, still with the Tetons NP. Easy drive to some of the most beautiful places anywhere! About 1 hour's drive to Old Faithful or to Jackson Hole. Jackson Lake with fantastic views of the Tetons is very close.

If you cannot get a spot in the Fishing Bridge campground give serious consideration to staying here!

Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA, Devils Tower, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Very generous spaces between sites, many with shade trees. Our pull-through site had excellent views, but many sites will not have this. Very clean and well-maintained. There is excellent wifi but no cable or OTA reception. Would certainly return! We camped at Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Mitchell KOA, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful grounds with most sites beneath shade trees. Ours seemed to be the only site without shade. Wifi is excellent, sites are well-maintained, with many pull-through sites and good hookup locations. Highly recommend but: bring a good book as there is only 1 over the air channel and no cable. Ask for site with shade and walk through this very pretty park. We camped at Mitchell KOA in a Motorhome.

Very spacious with lots of privacy, pretty grounds, even a lake/pond. Definitely one of the nicer places we have stayed. Lack of cable TV and weak wifi signal are only minor drawbacks. We camped at AOK Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nashville I-24 Campground, Smyrna, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Although our reservation was lost, very friendly staff was able to accommodate with a suitable site. (We stayed on the) end of row lot, hence no neighbor on the "eating" side, quiet, some shade, not level. Quality of sites seems mixed: some with adequate space between sites, others with nearly none. Mostly gravel and not very level. Be sure you call before arrival to confirm your reservation. We camped at Nashville I-24 Campground in a Motorhome.

Interstate Campground & RV Center, Byron, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our site required a 50 amp extention to reach power post; sand all around and easily tracked inside; no cable but reasonable over air reception. Does not appear to be well-maintained. Paid $30 for pull-through site.

Avoid if possible; if not possible check in with lowered expectations We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA, Wellington, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA - clean with all facilities. Problems: too many flies to permit sitting outside (they offer trail rides and keep horses, donkeys, etc); and they DO NOT HONOR THE PRICE THEY CONFIRMED. When we arrived, we were informed that their prices had gone up since we made the reservation. We only had two options: pay the higher price or forfeit the "full" amount already paid with booking. Contacted KOA Organization, who essentially informed me that NONE OF KOA PRICE CONFIRMATIONS MEAN ANYTHING! It is up to the individual campground to decide if they want to honor their own confirmed reservation! We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging, Groveland, California

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very attractive lay-out, many sites with shade trees, very children-friendly with special on-site programs for them. Showers got a lot of use so cleaning did not keep up - a minor irritant. Park is 22 miles from Yosemite Park boundary but please know that from Campsite to Yosemite Village and Visitor Center takes about 90 minutes along slow and rather edgy roads. We camped at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging in a Travel Trailer.
