Moose Hillock Camping Resort, Fort Ann, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for Labor weekend 2015. This campground has great potential. The positives are the great big themed pool with snack bar and the sites are spacious and spread out nicely. However the roads are not paved so the dust can be quite unbearable at times especially on very dry days. I have been camping for many years and have never experienced such a dusty campground. This is a new campground so hopefully they will at least pave the main roads soon. The other annoying thing is they sometimes play religious music at the pool, which is fine if that is your thing. The arcade was nice too. A fishing pond would be nice, especially for the price you pay. We camped at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Brialee Family Camping, Ashford, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I would definitely agree with the other reviews about the bathrooms. They are disgusting We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and they were not clean at all nor were they touched all weekend. The game room was just as dirty. The campground itself is somewhat pleasant but it gets very crowded on the weekends and the transient sites are very close together. They did accommodate us with an empty seasonal site that was a decent size but far away from all amenities. The pool was nice but way overcrowded and the kids did enjoy the fishing pond. Another big negative was on Sunday morning when the water stopped working. I was told this happens on busy weekends. Apparently the well water tank runs low. This made it very difficult to close down the camper and get everyone ready to leave. The campground claims they are the best deal in Ct. but I would rather pay a few dollars more for clean bathrooms and a well system that can keep up. We won't be returning. Coldbrook Resort & Campground, Barre, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for the 09 Fourth of July weekend and I must say in my twenty years of camping found this place to be the second worse campground we have ever stayed in. Too many drunk people driving around in golf carts all night long. Someone will definitely get hurt, if they have not already. The pools were green and could not be used. However, some of the drunks went in. Our campsite had a cable t.v. wire running across the ground next to the fireplace that my children kept tripping on, even after several complaints to the management they still did nothing about it. My kid got to use the arcade on the first day then the change machine ran out of quarters and the store clerk said they did not have enough change so that was it for the arcade. Morgan R.V. should be ashamed at how bad there campground and service is. I know we won't be back. We camped at Coldbrook Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
