French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course, Manteca, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

What grass was there had stickers, burrs and fox tails. Very expensive for what you get. No cable TV and minimal over air. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Only drawback to this campground was the Wi-Fi connection which was non existent in our area. Office kept saying that it had just been reset but we were never able to sign on any time during our 6 night stay. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a back in spot along the river. The first thing that happened was we plugged into the 30 amp (50 not available on the pedestal). After 2 hours we found no electric. After checking our rig & replacing the GFI, we had electric for a couple of hours. Then electric went out again. No lights, heat (overnight low 38). 6 AM electric back on for a few minutes. Later electric is off and on several times. Eventually there were spikes and we receive a 220 jolt. It blows up tv and electric blanket. We replaced the GFI again. We plugged into pedestal next to us and everything okay. The owner "comps" stay but we were left holding the bag for our losses (television, electric blanket, 2 GFI's and unknown at this time other things). The campground was nice with large sites. The bath house was a bit far to go in the cold weather and it was unheated. We would stay there again, but not in the cold weather. We were there 12-28-10 to 1-2-11. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Avila / Pismo Beach KOA, San Luis Obispo, California

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We have been using Ocean Canyon for several years. We have camped here 4 times this year and I have to say that since Reynolds signed on with KOA, the park is in better shape that we have ever seen it. Old trees taken out, brush cleaned up, wash room open more hours and the store has some items in it other than a bunch of "pirate crap". Tom Reynolds should be proud of the job that these KOA managers are doing. Unlike most KOA's, WI-FI is on a pay for basis and the cost is pretty high, about $9 per night on a daily basis. Options are nightly, weekly or monthly. Upside is the internet is fast. We camped at Avila / Pismo Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The sites here are pretty level. Our site had a somewhat grassy area, mixed with stickers, weeds and foxtails. Sprinklers came on while setting up at 3:30 in the afternoon. Pet run was mostly dirt due to some work going on inside the fenced area. Wi-Fi did not work at our site but did in office area. We had to hook-up cable in 3 sites before we got it to work. The continental breakfast was average. Don't know how they were rated as New Mexico's best RV park... We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

All sites at this park were dirt and rock. The pull-throughs were long enough not to unhook. There is a small store, gas station and restaurant on site. Easy on and off from I-40. The showers and bathrooms are individual and clean. A nice park to stay while traveling from place to place. Wi-Fi was very slow at our site. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

This is a nice park with easy access on and off Interstate 40. The Wi-Fi signal was weak and very slow. Had some on-site dog runs. Also good cable TV. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best KOA's I have been to. Only thing that holds back a 10 is they have no cable TV and weak Wi-Fi signal. Great restaurant on site that is operated by the owners. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Okay campground. Roads were tight with the trees near the drive ways. As with most KOA's: price was a bit high for what you get. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Baileyton RV Park, Greeneville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The park was a little hard to find but was worth looking for it. It is nice, and family owned and it showed. The park was clean and well maintained and was nicer than most parks that charge much more money. We put this park on our "stay again" list. Well done, Mr. & Mrs. Park Owner! We camped at Baileyton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Drummer Boy Camping Resort, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

The park would have been good for one or two days. All sites were dirt or gravel and the roads are narrow. There are too many rented golf carts running up and down the roads at all hours raising dust clouds. For the price WIFI should have been included and not an extra charge. On our next trip to Gettysburg, we will definitely cross Drummer Boy off of our list of places to stay. We camped at Drummer Boy Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Mill Stream Campground, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Most pricey park we have been in since being on the road for past 2 months. Parking in the designated pockets takes some backing (and praying) when the opposite space is filled with a 39' motorhome. Getting out of the parking lot can be a bit tricky with traffic. Would stay there again if we got a back in or pull through. We camped at Old Mill Stream Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
