White Birch Campground, South Deerfield, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful lake site but poor maintenance, though it does look worth a stay. We visited to consider seasonal site. Lake swimming, boating, beautiful views, many seasonal sites (90), nice, though limited store. Has small playground for toddlers, but it's dirty and has safety hazards (concrete used to support swings is exposed and serious fall hazard for kids). Also, playground is not maintained - large see saw is rusty, listing, & unusable. Garbage area has become a dumping ground. Enormous pile of junk that looks permanent. One seasonal site has fridge left out to be picked up and is unsightly. "Office" sign is not readable, another indication of poor maintenance. For such a large & busy site, there is no excuse for poor maintenance. We camped at White Birch Campground in a Travel Trailer.
