This was our 6th and last season at this park. When we arrived the site we reserved was occupied because the staff forgot to change our site number. We found a site we liked until they moved 6 dumpsters across from our site. Sand surface with Picnic Table. It was like living in a land fill. The staff was far from helpful in helping us relocate. Customer service is poor at best, it is like you are bothering them by asking for help. The activities director hasn't had a new idea in years and events are canceled because of lack of interest. Rules change throughout the season and not enforced on all guests. The first few seasons we came here Wekiva was a friendly place. Now it is run like a business more interested in making money than than keeping their guests coming back. We stayed here from November 2015 - April 2016.

This campground is an easy on/off from RT 40. If you are coming to the area to tour, this is a good campground. If you are here to relax and enjoy your site, this is not for you.

Date of Stay:

This campground has easy access from the highway with driveways wide enough to accommodate big rigs. The staff will arrange a for a limo to pick you up and take you to The Big Texan Steak Ranch.

This campground is south of Memphis,TN. We stayed here while the tornados were passing through the area. The tornado warning siren went off three times while we were here. The staff opened the office so we could watch the weather reports while waiting to go into the shelter. One afternoon they cooked lunch for us as we again waited for the all clear. This campground is an easy on/off for an overnight and provides easy access to Memphis.

We stayed here for the winter so our nightly rate is based on our extended stay. This is our third stay, each year the resort improves. This year they added an events coordinator. This spring they will be paving the side roads. Contrary to a previous review the sites are not small, we have a 37 foot motorhome with two slides and we had plenty of room between our site and the next. The facilities and grounds are very clean. The location is rural enough but there is plenty of shopping and dining nearby. We have already reserved our site for next season.

Date of Stay:

The sites here are small. The motorhome next door had their picnic table right outside our slide, and their fire ring was next to our bedroom window. We had to keep our windows closed on that side to keep out the smoke and cooking smells. You will not need an alarm clock here as the train comes through at 7:20 AM every day.

The park is a bit pricey but it is worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are going into DC attend the information session provided by the park. It will make your trip into the city much easier.

Have your wallet ready when you stay here; the site fee only covers the site. We arrived 2 hours before the check in time and we had to pay an extra $25 to check in even though our site was available and the park was far from full. When we called for the reservation we were not told the check in time or that there was a charge to check in early. The sites in the front of the park are off of paved roads but the pull through sites where our site was was down an unpaved gravel road. This was not easy to maneuver with our motorhome with a tow vehicle. At each dumpster site they had two dumpsters, one was locked so the overflow from the open one was left on the ground. This place is no 'RESORT".

The roads in this place are terrible--our tow vehicle bottomed out more than once. The wild parties start on Thursday and end Saturday night. We could not sit outside because of the mosquitoes. The seasonal campers were not friendly at all. For an overnight stay it is OK but not for a longer stay.

This campground has long spacious sites. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only negative might be the gravel roads. We would stay at this campground again.

This park is a dump. Across from our site were 10 or more junk RVs many of which had their windows smashed out and it was obvious they were not inhabited by humans. Many of the seasonal RVs were in bad disrepair. The campsite is located within 100 feet of a railroad crossing and the train goes through 6 to 10 times a day including the night. The train whistle will wake you in the night. The electrical power fluctuates, don't plug in your laptop.
