Boone KOA, Boone, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As expected, the road was tight getting here. I have a 23' trailer so it was no problem though. The staff was extremely friendly. The site was very level with a gravel patio area. It is shaded, which is very nice. The WiFi is the only issue here, it is very weak...if connected at all. But overall we will return. We camped at Boone KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Hob Knob Farm Cafe in downtown Boone was excellent and reasonably priced for a farm to table restaurant. Just be aware their a little slow once you order, but it's well worth the wait. The outdoor drama Horn in the West is a fun family evening as well

Quechee / Pine Valley KOA, White River Junction, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here from May 1st to June 30th. The folks at the desk were very nice. I can't say the same for, the owner. My wife works in the area and was carpooling to work. We should have informed the office of this, but neglected to. He sent a worker up, who was very courteous, to tell us she needed to stop and register and slow down. That was no problem, however the owner came flying up the hill on his Kawasaki Mule and began to yell at us that we needed to slow down. After making my wife's friend cry, he sped back down the hill. If the owner can not follow his own rules about speeding, he shouldn't expect his campers to either. He was the only staff member we had a problem with, everyone else was kind and respectful. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Quechee / Pine Valley KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Running Bear Camping Area, Ascutney, Vermont

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here from October 2008 to May 2009. This is the only campground that offers full hook up during the winter months in the area. The owner is a very nice man; he's continually making improvements to the campground. We would stay here again. We camped at Running Bear Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.
