The Smokies are a wonderful place to visit and camp and this park is right smack in the center of everything to do on the North Carolina side. The property is an older park that is neat and well keep. Most riverfront sites have seasonal units permanently in place with cool river decks, so only a few of those are available for short term visits. The park does have several decks with walk downs to the river that are large with plenty of room-close to all the sites. The staff is friendly and very accommodating-you feel like family. We'll be back!

Wow! I camped here about three years ago, and what a change the park is totally re-done, and re-done right. The bathrooms were as nice as a resort hotel, the park has beautiful paver sites, tropical landscaping, new docks, great laundry. Just amazing. Last time I came for the location to Anna Maria Island, and the boat ramp. Now I'll come back for the campground. It's fabulous!
