Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the nicest campgrounds we've been to. The roads were paved and almost all the spots are pull-through. Very nice for our big rig. The place was incredibly clean and well maintained. We even took a look at their bathrooms and showers, and were totally impressed. We often saw employees making their rounds cleaning and landscaping, and the results were obvious. They provide a great information packet when you check in, the best we've ever received. They offer trolley service into the local outlet mall area for free, and they are a stop for the municipal trolley into Lake George which costs 50 cents. For another option: there is a really nice paved bike trail that goes all the way to Lake George, which is about 4 miles away. All the sites are full hook up, with 30 and 50 amp and cable TV. Wi-Fi is available right at your site for a fee. The fee was well worth it for us, as we aren't getting our teenage daughter to go anywhere unless there is internet connectivity for her laptop. It worked great the entire week. They have their own playhouse with shows each night. We saw a magician there and it was fun. We really liked the adult lounge, with adirondack style interior and huge stone fireplace. The cafe and ice cream parlor were right next to it, so a milkshake was just steps away. The area was beautiful, the people were extremely friendly, and we look forward to coming here again. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
