Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay at this park! Very well maintained, clean.. We used the pool almost nightly and even enjoyed some pizza from the cafe. The pizza was excellent, was not expecting what we got!

We had a very nice conversation with the person running the information/Metro booth at the campground. This campgrounds goes above and beyond and has excellent customer service.

One of the better stocked camping supply stores I have seen at a campground.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had 5 in our party so we drove to the metro parking and paid $5.10 to park before taking the Metro. That was less than paying for the Metro bus to the Metro station. Figure out how to use the Metro and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Crystal Lake Campground (formerly Crystal Lake RV Resort), Lodi, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure I could ever recommend this place. I called for a space as we were traveling through and specifically asked for a pull-through full hookup as I was towing and did not want to disconnect. I wanted to pull out early the next morning. I was told by the person answering the phone that that yes we have a site in our hanger section. I happened to be on their website so I looked a the map and said, wow, those are long pull-through sites and she said yes they were. So it was clear that I was expecting a pull through site.

Imagine my surprise when we arrive and I have a back in. I was not happy and had a conversation with a nice person who brought the papers to my site. Her and the person I had spoken to previously had a conversation over the radio and I was basically called a liar.

We ended up staying but here is the deal. The hanger section is the furthest away from the "facilities" as it could possibly be. They have 1 or 2 porta potties, yes, porta potties that are close.

We drove over to the "beach" and pool. You meander through so many "permanent" trailers stacked on top of each other. I am unsure I could have driven my 38' motorhome through all the cars, campers, golf carts, tents. We didn't even get out of the car when we got to the beach as their was no where to park.

This place is a fire bomb waiting to happen. Once camper/trailer or campfire problem and it will be a nightmare. How they can stuff that many in one area with one road in or out and no way to move between is beyond me. Any fire marshal would shut them down. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground (formerly Crystal Lake RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Texas RV Park of Big Spring, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Decent park. Currently tearing down the rec hall. Pool is STILL closed, not noted on any website or anywhere during check-in. Girl behind counter said it has been closed for quite a while and the man running around in the golf cart said it was closed recently. Still charged the extra per child fee, even when the kids aren't using any of the "facilities". Facilities that are currently closed. We camped at Texas RV Park of Big Spring in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, quiet, clean park. Has level pull through sites. They were just firing up for the Summer and the store had not been stocked. We will camp here again. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Riverside City Park, Scottsbluff, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

A nice campground being operated by very nice people. The sites were level and gravel. They are limited on 50 AMP full hookup sites, so we had to use a full hookup 30 AMP which was really no issue. We would stay here again. We camped at Riverside City Park in a Motorhome.
