Lake Guntersville State Park, Guntersville, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We had reservations for this September trip since July. We arrived on our planned date and there were only 8 sites left. We HAD reservations, yet people who just wandered in, got the better sites. Was VERY dissappointed! We were stuck behind the store. There is no sense in this kind of resveration system. We camped at Lake Guntersville State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Little Mountain Marina Camping Resort, Langston, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time at this campground. THE PROs. Great place for the kids. Very nice playground, putt putt, game room etc. Nice kept areas, nice friendly folks. THE CONs. The indoor pool was COLD. What is the use in having it indoor if it isn't heated?? The restaurant was only open on selected days. A bummer because they have great ice cream. One of the bath houses need a place for you to change once you get out of the shower. There are three shower stalls and that is all. At the other one there is a nice changing area and a shower connected. Over all: it was a wonderful place and we had a great time. We camped at Little Mountain Marina Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

I stayed here as a kid. It is the same as I remember. Same playground and same Nature Center. Things have not changed in years. The park does need some updating, but over all it is a nice place and we will be back. We camped at Lake Guntersville State Park in a Tent Trailer.
