As a previous 'camper' stated, it's a great place to stay if you are seeing a show and don't want to get stuck in traffic or drive home. A shuttle bus goes thru every 10 to 15 minutes 24/7. A parking pass is issued free of charge, just for security sake. Apparently issues of people dumping down sewer drains. Granted no shade. But if you get there early enough you can get a 'river view'.

First time at this campground for long holiday weekend. Had a lakefront site with beautiful sunsets. Needless to say for our vacation in mid-August, we had planned to go to our annual Cape Cod trip. Well, now spending the week at Association Island, again lake front!! Loved it. The people were very friendly. Husband loved the fishing, and I loved the view and quiet.

Started coming to this campground last year when gas prices were so high. This being very local with beautiful sites. The personnel was very, very friendly and accommodating. Was very relaxing. Love it, love it, love it.

My husband and I have come here every Memorial Day weekend for the past 3 years. Personnel is very accommodating. You are right on Lake Champlain. Beach is very nice and clean. There is also a food stand which serves very good food!! Also it is a nice walk on bike path to center of town. This is a town owned campground, so non-campers/residents do come through campsites to get to the beach. Wi-Fi is available, for a price though. Very, very nice!! This is why this is our Memorial Day getaway every year!!!! Love it!!

As a racing fan and don't want to travel or get stuck in traffic, the NHMS is very accommodating. Basic rate is $100 and can stay up to a week before race. We stayed 4 nites for the $100. Of course need to buy race tickets for Sunday race. Different lots available, with family lots and what we called after our experience last year the 'party lot'. State troopers do try to keep 'fans' quiet. They do state 'quiet' hours, again state troopers do try to stick to rules. Need to be self-contained though as there are no hook-ups, etc. This year I did change to the 'family lot'. They do pack you in there too. So if you plan on leaving before Monday morning make sure you are parked on one of the roadways. But again, nice to be able to walk back and forth quite easily to track, but they do have shuttles to drive by the RV lots. Again, of course with my husband and I being nascar race fans, this is the way to go.
