Louisville South KOA, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Little expensive, but there is not much to choose from in the area. Only objections I had was that it was dusty since most of the campground is covered with gravel. The site we had was a pull through with no area for sitting outside. Plenty of trees which made it difficult to get a satellite signal, Wi-Fi was slow, and it was a little expensive. Looks like it would be a good campground for kids. Ours are grown. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Indianapolis KOA, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $53.00

I have stayed at many KOAs, and am a KOA member. If you do not care about WI-FI and don't mind spending nearly twice what you should, then this park is for you. Sites were nice size with connections in the right place. TV is from antenna which was fine. They should not even say they have WI-FI. We stayed at another park last night that had super good WI-FI with the same services except a pool and it was $28. I am usually not cheap, but $53 with no cable TV or workable WI-FI is ridiculous. We would not stay here again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Two people damaged their units on the bridge under construction going into the campground. Restrooms were clean, but not very nice given the price. The sites were nice size and we enjoyed being by the river. We were able to get satellite with a portable at our site, but very few where even this would work. Like the campground, but the bridge is dangerous. With my RV I had less than an inch of clearance. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is near an airport and there are train tracks that run by. I would have rated it higher except for this. It was convenient to the highway. Had friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting out watching the rabbits and prairie dogs. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Sites were a little tight, other than that it was a great campground. I would recommend it and stay here again. The people were friendly. They serve a breakfast in the mornings. We only stayed one night since we were just traveling through. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for a week. I thought the sites were too close. The area we were in smelled like sewage at some times during the day. They had almost nothing in the camp store. Wi-fi was an extra charge and did not work well, and the price for what we got was high. I am not sure that this was the not the case in other campgrounds near by. It was convenient to local attractions. If you are looking for a less cramped campground, I would recommend staying a little ways out of town and get more for your money. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.
