East View RV Ranch, Georgetown, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel park. 99% of the sites are for live in people and that leaves only two sites for nightly people such as myself. Advertises WIFI, but it does not reach the entire park, only the sites within 50 feet or so of the office. Nice laundry. Not much to offer otherwise. I doubt we will return. We camped at East View RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Galveston Island State Park, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in in the rain. Site was underwater. Fire ring was under water. Rain kept coming. Wi-Fi works but not the fastest. Weird setup to the sites: your fire ring and picnic table is on the hookups side of your rig, instead of the same side as your entry door. We camped at Galveston Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Not much here if you don't gamble. But you can't beat $10 per night for 50 amp service with water and sewer. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Fire rings concrete sites. WIFI only works near the office, but they do put a table and chairs out for you to sit and use your laptop. Otherwise it would have been a 10. We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sturgeon Valley Campground (formerly Sturgeon River Campground), Wolverine, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Long ways down a bumpy dirt road. Very nice couple run this campground. Grassy sites, pool is a pond that did NOT look inviting. Sturgeon River flows next to this campground, but the grass/weeds were severely overgrown next to it. We camped at Sturgeon Valley Campground (formerly Sturgeon River Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wifi is excellent!! Sites are nice. Trees are at some sites but not all. The only drawback to this park is that all the sites are not level and all are gravel. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pilot Knoll Park & Campground, Argyle, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park. All sites are either on the lake or have great lake views. The only reason it was not a 10 was because they lock the front gate at 10pm and if you are outside after that, you are not getting in (ie, padlock on gate, not a combination lock) We camped at Pilot Knoll Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Loyd Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Sites have almost no privacy from each other. Tents are the preferred style of camper at this park. We did not feel comfortable stepping outside our 5th wheel with 24 beer drinkers 15 feet away in all three directions. As a result we spent the weekend INSIDE. Site rate is $15 per night, but each car/truck is charged a $10 entry fee everyday. We camped at Loyd Park in a Fifth Wheel.
