South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Near I-10. Beautiful cacti, clean. New management. majority are year round camps. Not very dog friendly, one accident ant they will immediately kick you out. Dog "run" is tiny. Refused to give me a Good Sam discount, even though it is a Good Sam Park. Check in says they do not ask for discount eligibility at check in. Manager says they do. Both say if you ask for a discount after the fact they will not. Dumpsters are inconvenient. Manager was condescending. Wifi does not work. Cable TV costs extra. We camped at South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Went here to camp among it unique rock formations and history. I was not dissapointed. Campsites are at the base of a rock monolith maybe 700' high. Level blacktop with elec and water. Dump site available. Tightest security I have experienced. This is due to vandalism to the ancient native rock art and 19th century cowboy inscriptions. This is a sacred site to several native tribes and is needed for preservation. There are self guided and ranger guided walks. Only 70 visitors allowed a day. Lots of rock climbers. We camped at Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site in a Travel Trailer.

Caverns of Sonora RV Park, Sonora, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay to see the caverns which are exquisite. Campground is basic but uncrowded. Had deer nibbling next to my trailer. The cave has fantastic smaller formations covering everything in the lower cave. The cave is warm and humid with thick air to the point of being uncomfortable but it was well worth the effort. Nice gift/ rock shop. We camped at Caverns of Sonora RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Miami Everglades Resort, Miami, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are close together. No sewer smell as previously noted. Quiet. I had a bathroom emergency in which a staff person called the troops because the bathroom was "closed for cleaning" even though it was empty. Later I was confronted like a trouble maker over uncleaned dog droppings which may or may not have been from my dog. I was asked to leave but staff gave me "one more chance" when I asked for a refund. Overall staff were rigid, rude and discourteous. Many sites were long term campers who I felt were unfriendly towards outsiders intruding on their campground. We camped at Miami Everglades Resort in a Travel Trailer.
