Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA, Broadway, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $50.00

Over-priced. Spent extra to get a cable TV site but there was no NBC (though it was on their list) and no PBS. WiFi was very slow and there was a note on the TV list that only two hours were free. Two of the three showers were out of service; hot water took a really long time; shower head was in pulse setting and couldn't be adjusted so stream was hard and sprayed under the curtain and got my shoes wet. Nice enough park but not worth the price. We camped at Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Creek View Campsites, Rosendale, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly tent sites; about 5 RV sites. Sort of level. Very small but only game in town. No WiFi, no TV. Bathhouse reasonably clean. TP so thin it tears very easily. We were there for a wedding, otherwise we would have left. Oh yeah, no receipt for payment, either. All very casual. Owner makes rounds in his car -- too fat to walk -- takes about 10 minutes. We camped at Creek View Campsites in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, indeed. Surpassed expectations. Paid extra to get spot near bathhouse. Gravel sites, fairly level, lots of trees. Large pool. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Crabtree Falls Campground, Tyro, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Killer drive 12 miles up a steep mountain, and killer drive down (we had to stop to let our brakes cool). Our MH is a mini so not too heavy. It was also raining so it was dark when we finally got here. Only one other site occupied. Beautiful right beside the river with lots of trees. Best for outdoors types. Too far off highway for overnight. We camped at Crabtree Falls Campground in a Motorhome.
