Lemoore Naval Air Station Campground (Military FamCamp), Lemoore NAS, California

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, small park with friendly staff. Reasonably level concrete pads, but ours had a sharp 3 inch lip from the gravel lead-in to the pad. Quite a bump getting in. Once in, the utilities are strong and base amenities are available nearby. We camped at Lemoore Naval Air Station Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino, Corning, California

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great score for what you get. This is not a destination park but an on-the-way park. The sites are a little close and there is no patio or picnic table. The sites are long and level, the water pressure is strong and the Wi-Fi is great. We definitely enjoyed the casino and will certainly stay here again when passing through. We camped at RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino in a Motorhome.

Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails , Seaside, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

The sites were spacious with plenty distance between neighbors. Wi-Fi was only available at the clubhouses, a negative for me. Most interior roads and sites were gravel, but there really wasn't much dust. Sites were level and utilities good. Park was well away from roads - so very quiet. Rate reflects RPI membership. We camped at Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resort of Salem Oregon, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, well kept and nicely landscaped. Front desk was manager knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of amenities. Visiting grandkids loved the pool & hot tub, and game room with pool, foosball, and ping pong. Wifi worked fairly well but sometimes hard to get on and then slow. Sites are level but pretty close to each other. Rate was for a "super-site" which is actually 1 1/2 sites giving parking for your toad. My motorhome with dolly is about 40 feet and took nearly the whole spot so the extra parking was welcome. We camped at Premier RV Resort of Salem Oregon in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

How many different ways can you say wonderful? Manicured park with gorgeous flowers and trees. Level, paved sites. Friendly staff. Associated with casino. Rate is weekly rate with military discount. We rate all other parks compared to this one. I only gave a 9 because of weak wifi. When you could connect it was slow. If they added antennas, there would be no possible downgrades. We've been here before and will come again. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Champoeg State Heritage Area, Newberg, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful state park. Friendly staff, well maintained, sites level, and bathrooms clean. We had a FHU site which we prefer, but there are just a few of them. If that's what you want, use the online reservation system, but do it early. We were here two weeks and have no complaints. Grandkids visited and enjoyed Ranger talks. We will come here again. We camped at Champoeg State Heritage Area in a Motorhome.

The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well done park designed to be convenient to the casino. We were told at the park's front desk that the hotel's amenities such as hot tub, work out room, etc. are available to RV customers if interested. The interior roads are wide, the sites are level, the utilities work well and the Wi-Fi is strong. The sites are a little close but they did a good job getting the most possible sites within the total property. This is not a destination resort of itself but a nice part of the casino package. We camped at The Mill Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lone Mountain RV Resort, O'Brien, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a jewel. It's a little off the main drag so unless you researched ahead you might not find it. Sites are gravel but level, roads are asphalt paved and smooth. Small park manicured to perfection, it is beautiful. WiFi was strong, electricity stable, and water pressure good. Owner stopped by to introduce himself and promote good will. Rate reflects AARP, AAA discount. We were here for 3 nights and will stay here again. We camped at Lone Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Emerald Forest Cabins & RV, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Stunning park. Sites are in among the redwoods, I found myself just staring at the trees. Some noise from Hwy 101, but not bad. Park manager was very friendly and helpful. Good utilities, strong Wi-Fi. Close to seaside sightseeing. Slight downgrade for tight entry road. Been here before, will come again. We camped at Emerald Forest Cabins & RV in a Motorhome.

Ghost Mountain Ranch, Pollock Pines, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This park was recently acquired by Colorado River Adventures membership club and the rate reflects that. The last two miles of road prior to the entrance are indeed tight but have obviously been trimmed since the earlier reviews. Go slow, it is do-able. The interior roads are very tight and the pavement occasionally drops off to ruts along the edges. If you have a toad, disconnect inside the entrance, as some of the turns further in are very tight. Virtually none of the sites are level. They range from a gentle slope to "I wouldn't put a tent there!" The pool and its yard are lovely. The staff is very friendly and the new owners are trying very hard to upgrade the place, for example new picnic tables at the sites. Once parked the experience was nice. My score is mainly for the interior park roads. We camped at Ghost Mountain Ranch in a Motorhome.

Mt Hood Village RV Resort, Welches, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

The park has a lot of potential but the sites looked messy to me. Just needed some landscaping care, weedwacking, trimming, etc. I had to wade through knee high weeds to get to my utility stand. The sites seemed to be a little close together but it they were trimmed they would look a lot bigger. Lots of nice shade trees and the roads were very good for grandkids riding bikes. The playground also needed some maintenance. Office staff were friendly. Daily rate was high for what we got. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa, Warm Springs, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very attractive, well maintained park. The main entrance turn in is a short radius if you are a MH with toad. The interior roads are a little tight with some pretty serious speed bumps, so go slow. Not many trees but our site was level. The huge pool is fed by a hot spring so is quite warm but our grandkids loved it. Our trip highlight was the outdoor salmon bake dinner put on by the Native American group followed by a beautiful dance demonstration in full costume at the lodge. We would stay here again but hopefully in cooler weather. We camped at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa in a Motorhome.

Summer Lake Hot Springs RV Park, Paisley, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a dump: good only for a one nighter on the way somewhere else. It was quiet and the utilities did work well. The entry gate was over a cattle guard made of wood that looked like it was ready to collapse. I was concerned if it would hold my MH. It did, but it was rough and the gravel entry was rough. The sites were long enough so I didn't have to take off my toad. They are trying to sell their hot spring bath (which we did not see) but they apparently spent very little on any other maintenance. It is located on a small highway and was convenient for our trip planning, so we would probably stay here again if that's the way the plan worked out. We camped at Summer Lake Hot Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Champoeg State Heritage Area, Newberg, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice state park. We stayed in B loop which was near the amphitheater for the ranger talks. Our grandkids enjoyed that. We were in a water and electric only site, but FHU is available. The rate was $24, but making a reservation online charged an $8 fee. Lots of trees in the park but mostly small ones on B loop. As they grow and get more shady it will get better and better. Site was fairly level once we backed far enough in, and there was lots of room between sites. Park staff were friendly and helpful. We will stay there again. We camped at Champoeg State Heritage Area in a Motorhome.
