Date of Stay:

This is a great family park. Playgrounds and pool are updated. Family activities are planned daily. Access to D.C. tourism is well planned and as easy as D.C. transit can be. Great park for D.C. tourism or stay at park for all inclusive activities and vacationing. Travel time into D.C. is approximately 1 hour. This park gets resort status in my book. We would pay big dollars to stay at this park again in the future, it is worth every penny. We would have liked for the pool to open before 10 am and have more heating, but we still wouldn't complain.

You will need material to level your site. There is so much available to do here that you will need several days. They had the largest pool we have ever seen. Pool closes at 7 pm. We picked blueberries at the nearby u-pick site within 1 mile of campsite. Campsite was located within a reasonable distance of Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. Ferry access to cross the James River was easy to use. The ferry runs every half hour until ten pm, then every hour. We recommend this site for tourists visiting Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. Travel time to tourist locations including ferry time is about 50 minutes.
