We have stayed at this park many times, and probably will continue to stay there - most of the sites are concrete pull-throughs, and the park is landscaped very attractively. However, I have to mention something that we noticed on a previous visit, that really made our visit less enjoyable this time. There are at least 2 cats that roam through the park at will. It drives our dogs crazy, and if you know anything about hound dogs, they get very noisy when they are chasing "prey". I asked the woman in the office about the cats, and she said that they live next door to the park. She has called the Humane Society about them, but nothing has been done. To make matters worse, some of the residents of the park feel sorry for the cats, and put food out for them. The management has asked them to stop, but they still do it. I don't know what should be done, but I do know that I would hesitate to stay in this park for an extended visit if the cats are still there.

This was one of the better KOA campgrounds that we've stayed at. Our pull-through site had plenty of room, and we had no problem getting in and out of it. The construction on the road leading into the park made finding the park very confusing. The main reason I gave a low score is because the road noise from I-10 is unbearable. It didn't let up all night. We would look for another park if in the area again.

This is a gorgeous park, very quiet with lots of trees. We stayed in one of the lake view sites, and had plenty of room for our 38' RV and tow vehicle. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night, but would have loved to stay longer. FYI -we got carryout from The Bodacious BBQ restaurant right off the interstate and it was very tasty.

This is an ok park for an overnight stay (hence the name). It is right off I-40, and only one block away from The Big Texan. The laundry room has a more than adequate number of washers and dryers, but it is only open 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The highway noise is there, but it didn't keep us awake. There are a lot of other parks in the area, so we might try another one if we were driving through again.

As other reviewers have said, this park is basically a dirt parking lot with hook-ups. However, I don't know who the rude person was who one reviewer dealt with, because the woman in the office when we arrived was extremely helpful and very nice. It's also nice to have an RV repair facility at the back of the park - we had our oil changed right at our site before we left in the morning. We also went to Mesa Italiano for dinner, but we thought the food was way overpriced for a small-town restaurant. We might stay there again if we were in the area. BTW, don't miss the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert - they're awesome!

This is one huge RV resort among many other huge RV resorts in the Phoenix area. We liked Mesa Spirit - the sites are large, and there is a concrete pad next to each site to park your car. As another reviewer mentioned, it's almost impossible to see the entrance to the park - if you're heading west on Main Street, turn right before the Midas sign. We were stuck all the way in the back of the park since we have dogs (there is a certain section set aside for dog owners), and there was a very nice big fenced in area to let your dogs run off leash. The park is very close to grocery shopping and restaurants. If you have more than 2 dogs, this resort and one in Surprise are the only parks that will accommodate you that I am aware of. We were not there at the high season, and there were many open sites - I'm sure it would be very crowded when the snowbirds got there. We would probably stay there again, due to the dog situation.

This is kind of an unusual park. There is an area with full hook-ups with no view of the lake, and then there is area with water and electric only that has great views of the lake. We stayed in the latter, and my husband said that it looked like a military parade ground. Just a big flat sandy area with hook-ups sticking out of the ground. This must not be their busy season, because I think there were only about 5 other RV's out where we were. As other reviewers have said, it's about a 15 minute drive to any gas stations/restaurants. We saw "evidence" of the wild burros, but never actually got to see one in person. I don't think we would stay there again. It's close enough to the Phoenix metro area that you could easily find a better park there.

This campground is basically a big parking lot with hookups, but if you get a premium site, you have a patch of grass and a tree. However, the proximity to the Las Vegas strip makes up for the lack of landscaping. You can easily walk to Circus Circus. The pull-through sites were spacious. All the workers were very nice and helpful, and the whole park was neat and clean. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

This is a very nice state park, no frills, but beautiful scenery and nice long pull-through sites. It's a little distance to Winslow, but not bad. Actually, it was nice not to have city lights spoil the night sky - we felt like we could see every star that is up there! We enjoyed the area so much that we extended our 1 day visit to 2 days. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

This is just a parking lot with RV hook-ups. It was fine for a one night stay, but would not stay any longer. "Pop's" rules for dogs were a little extreme in my opinion. They were only allowed to do their "business" in the 10x10 fenced in dog area. Did you ever try to stop a male Basset Hound from urinating for over 30 feet? However, other parks in the area looked worse, so if we were in the area again we would probably stay there.

I know I'm repeating other reviewers, but this is a great park! Unlike other parks we've seen in the area, this one has lots of trees, nice long pull-through sites, and everything is clean and neat. The laundry area has 6 washers and 8 dryers. We stayed during Balloon Fiesta (thus the high price for the site), and lucked out in getting a site when someone else cancelled. We liked it so much that we wanted to stay another couple of days, but we were only able to get 1 day extra since they were all booked up. The people working at the park, and all the campers that we met were super-friendly. The only reason I didn't give it a "10" was because it is very close to I-40, and the noise is distracting, but only when you're outside. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this park one night while visiting relatives in Yukon. There is not a lot of choice on the southwest side of OKC. This is an older park and there appears to be some long-term residents, but their units weren't trashy or run-down. We had an escort to our site which was a nice pull-through with plenty of room to park our toad. As was mentioned in other reviews, there is no cable TV, but they are in the process of running the cables throughout the park (lots of trenches and mounds of dirt all over), and the manager assured me that by the next time we stay there it will be all done. We would definitely camp here again when in the area.

This is a very nice campground - long, level pull-through sites, lovely landscaping, and everything is clean and well-maintained. My husband tried the "private" shower/bathroom, and it truly was private, with a separate lockable room for each one. There was a spacious fenced-in dog play area also. The only reason I didn't give it a "10" was because the park is really out in the "boonies" - great access off I-20, but about 15 minutes away from a town with any amenities. However, if we were traveling this way again, we would definitely stay here. By the way, we received 2 obviously homemade chocolate chip cookies when we checked in, and they were delicious!

We have stayed at this park several times and have always found it to be very acceptable. The park is neat and clean and has a very nice pet walk area. As other reviewers have stated, the park is right across the street from the casino (BTW, the buffet at the casino is awesome), and shuttles run frequently. There is only one reason I didn't give a higher rating. We had made reservations, but we knew that we were running late, so I called the office to let them know. The person I spoke with said that was no problem and to just pull into any empty site. However, she failed to tell me that there were a limited number of 50 amp sites or where they were located. We realized that after we had already set up in a 30 amp site and were having difficulties with the electric (the breaker kept tripping). I ran around the whole park looking for 50 amp sites, and finally found the last one that was available. Otherwise, we liked the park and would stay there again.

This is a very nice park. We stayed here overnight, and had a long, spacious pull through site. The owners were very congenial - someone stayed an extra day in the site we were supposed to be in, so they upgraded us to a better site at no charge. The only problem we had was finding the road to turn into off the highway. The sign for the park was actually after the turnoff, so we had to make a u-turn (not the easiest thing to do in a 38 footer). FYI - take the turnoff to the baseball complex to get to the RV park. We would definitely stay here again.
