Wekiva Falls RV Resort, Sorrento, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night because it was close to family in Winter Park. This is a very large campground with a water park on the property. The check-in experience was very efficient, and the guide led us to our site and made sure that all equipment was functioning properly. Our site was grassy in a big open field, with a cracked concrete pad next to it. We had heard good reviews about the Tiki Hut bar at the marina, but they were closed for inventory the night we were there. All the employees were very helpful and all the campers very friendly. We would stay here again, but would try to get a site in a more wooded area. We camped at Wekiva Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Willow Lakes RV & Golf Resort (55+ Park), Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very modern, clean, luxurious park consisting of RV sites, park models, RV ports and stick built homes. The rental agent was very friendly and informative. She and her husband even came back after hours to try and help us hook up our cable box! All RV sites are concrete and all roads are paved. We weren't able to fit a round in, but they have a beautifully landscaped, well-maintained Executive Par 3 golf course. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Willow Lakes RV & Golf Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Make sure you don't miss the "Dixie Crossroads" restaurant! Excellent food and exceptional service! Check out the Titusville Playhouse if there is a show being performed - we saw "Jesus Christ Superstar" and it was super!

Highbanks Marina & Campresort, Debary, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting family in Winter Park. The park consists mainly of full-timers, with sites for transients on the front row just off the main road. It was difficult to maneuver our 30 foot motor coach through the park to get to our site. The roads are narrow and cars are parked any which way at the sites. Sites were sand, but we did have a nice concrete patio. We would probably stay here again. We camped at Highbanks Marina & Campresort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat for an excursion down the St. Johns River while you're there. It is so relaxing to motor down the river, and the scenery is outstanding - we even saw a manatee!

The location on the St. Johns River is absolutely wonderful! The town of DeBary is very small, but there is a Winn Dixie only about 2 miles away.

Majestic Oaks RV Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park many times, and probably will continue to stay there - most of the sites are concrete pull-throughs, and the park is landscaped very attractively. However, I have to mention something that we noticed on a previous visit, that really made our visit less enjoyable this time. There are at least 2 cats that roam through the park at will. It drives our dogs crazy, and if you know anything about hound dogs, they get very noisy when they are chasing "prey". I asked the woman in the office about the cats, and she said that they live next door to the park. She has called the Humane Society about them, but nothing has been done. To make matters worse, some of the residents of the park feel sorry for the cats, and put food out for them. The management has asked them to stop, but they still do it. I don't know what should be done, but I do know that I would hesitate to stay in this park for an extended visit if the cats are still there. We camped at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lafayette KOA, Scott, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the better KOA campgrounds that we've stayed at. Our pull-through site had plenty of room, and we had no problem getting in and out of it. The construction on the road leading into the park made finding the park very confusing. The main reason I gave a low score is because the road noise from I-10 is unbearable. It didn't let up all night. We would look for another park if in the area again. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Tyler State Park, Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gorgeous park, very quiet with lots of trees. We stayed in one of the lake view sites, and had plenty of room for our 38' RV and tow vehicle. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night, but would have loved to stay longer. FYI -we got carryout from The Bodacious BBQ restaurant right off the interstate and it was very tasty. We camped at Tyler State Park in a Motorhome.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an ok park for an overnight stay (hence the name). It is right off I-40, and only one block away from The Big Texan. The laundry room has a more than adequate number of washers and dryers, but it is only open 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The highway noise is there, but it didn't keep us awake. There are a lot of other parks in the area, so we might try another one if we were driving through again. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

As other reviewers have said, this park is basically a dirt parking lot with hook-ups. However, I don't know who the rude person was who one reviewer dealt with, because the woman in the office when we arrived was extremely helpful and very nice. It's also nice to have an RV repair facility at the back of the park - we had our oil changed right at our site before we left in the morning. We also went to Mesa Italiano for dinner, but we thought the food was way overpriced for a small-town restaurant. We might stay there again if we were in the area. BTW, don't miss the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert - they're awesome! We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is one huge RV resort among many other huge RV resorts in the Phoenix area. We liked Mesa Spirit - the sites are large, and there is a concrete pad next to each site to park your car. As another reviewer mentioned, it's almost impossible to see the entrance to the park - if you're heading west on Main Street, turn right before the Midas sign. We were stuck all the way in the back of the park since we have dogs (there is a certain section set aside for dog owners), and there was a very nice big fenced in area to let your dogs run off leash. The park is very close to grocery shopping and restaurants. If you have more than 2 dogs, this resort and one in Surprise are the only parks that will accommodate you that I am aware of. We were not there at the high season, and there were many open sites - I'm sure it would be very crowded when the snowbirds got there. We would probably stay there again, due to the dog situation. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Pleasant Harbor RV Resort, Peoria, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is kind of an unusual park. There is an area with full hook-ups with no view of the lake, and then there is area with water and electric only that has great views of the lake. We stayed in the latter, and my husband said that it looked like a military parade ground. Just a big flat sandy area with hook-ups sticking out of the ground. This must not be their busy season, because I think there were only about 5 other RV's out where we were. As other reviewers have said, it's about a 15 minute drive to any gas stations/restaurants. We saw "evidence" of the wild burros, but never actually got to see one in person. I don't think we would stay there again. It's close enough to the Phoenix metro area that you could easily find a better park there. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is basically a big parking lot with hookups, but if you get a premium site, you have a patch of grass and a tree. However, the proximity to the Las Vegas strip makes up for the lack of landscaping. You can easily walk to Circus Circus. The pull-through sites were spacious. All the workers were very nice and helpful, and the whole park was neat and clean. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Homolovi Ruins State Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park, no frills, but beautiful scenery and nice long pull-through sites. It's a little distance to Winslow, but not bad. Actually, it was nice not to have city lights spoil the night sky - we felt like we could see every star that is up there! We enjoyed the area so much that we extended our 1 day visit to 2 days. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Homolovi Ruins State Park in a Motorhome.

Bluffview RV Park (formerly Mom and Pops RV Park), Farmington, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is just a parking lot with RV hook-ups. It was fine for a one night stay, but would not stay any longer. "Pop's" rules for dogs were a little extreme in my opinion. They were only allowed to do their "business" in the 10x10 fenced in dog area. Did you ever try to stop a male Basset Hound from urinating for over 30 feet? However, other parks in the area looked worse, so if we were in the area again we would probably stay there. We camped at Bluffview RV Park (formerly Mom and Pops RV Park) in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

I know I'm repeating other reviewers, but this is a great park! Unlike other parks we've seen in the area, this one has lots of trees, nice long pull-through sites, and everything is clean and neat. The laundry area has 6 washers and 8 dryers. We stayed during Balloon Fiesta (thus the high price for the site), and lucked out in getting a site when someone else cancelled. We liked it so much that we wanted to stay another couple of days, but we were only able to get 1 day extra since they were all booked up. The people working at the park, and all the campers that we met were super-friendly. The only reason I didn't give it a "10" was because it is very close to I-40, and the noise is distracting, but only when you're outside. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Council Road RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park one night while visiting relatives in Yukon. There is not a lot of choice on the southwest side of OKC. This is an older park and there appears to be some long-term residents, but their units weren't trashy or run-down. We had an escort to our site which was a nice pull-through with plenty of room to park our toad. As was mentioned in other reviews, there is no cable TV, but they are in the process of running the cables throughout the park (lots of trenches and mounds of dirt all over), and the manager assured me that by the next time we stay there it will be all done. We would definitely camp here again when in the area. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.
