Space Coast RV Resort, Rockledge, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful campground and very busy this time of year. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rain was pouring down when we arrived and a gentleman took us to our site and helped us back into our spot which was one of the last 2 or 3 left. All the campers there were friendly and waved as we arrived and left a few days later. Bathrooms and showers-spotless. Laundry facilities are well maintained as well as the grounds. They even pick up your trash bags if you leave them out front by 9 am. Great place to stay, short or long term!!! We camped at Space Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wickham Park Campground, Melbourne, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Most sites are large, level, grassy, and some are shady. Fire ants are everywhere! We tried treating the mounds we saw, but there were too many. We agree, one of the Park Rangers is rude. This is our 3rd time camping here, and he hasn't changed at all. The showers are fairly clean, but shower curtains are missing and shower heads are leaking. There are many activities in the park. Frisbee golf, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, etc. We stay there often when visiting relatives. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

St. Johns River Campground, Astor, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Right on the highway and road noise is sometimes intense. Only 2 unisex single occupancy bathroom/showers available. Others are closed and chained. Some people do not pay attention to the "No Smoking" rules. One guy came out with a cigarette in one hand, cell phone in his ear and having just urinated on the toilet seat. Many of the RVers here are permanents, but are very friendly and helpful with directions. One guy has his big screen TV mounted on his storage shed door and he watches it at the picnic table. Dogs barking at 2 AM is annoying but, since there are Bear warning signs in the area, a little bit of dog backing is not a bad thing. The sites are level and shade trees are abundant. There are several great restaurants nearby with great seafood and BBQ. We camped at St. Johns River Campground in a Motorhome.

Orlando S.E./Lake Whippoorwill KOA, Orlando, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

An absolutely beautiful Kampground. Very well maintained with sparkling clean restrooms and showers. The staff ran around in golf carts and made sure everything was ok with our site. Lake Whippoorwill is very scenic and the cool breeze coming off it was very welcome on a hot day. There are a few permanent campers, but their sites were extremely well maintained. This is a great Kampground. A little pricy, but well worth the money. We will be staying here again on our next visit to Orlando. We camped at Orlando S.E./Lake Whippoorwill KOA in a Motorhome.

Happy Traveler RV Park, Thonotosassa, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Our campsite hasn't been used in a long time. We couldn't find the sewer connection because grass had grown over it. Once it was uncovered by a park worker it was ants, ants, and more ants. I spread some comet around the tires to keep the little intruders out of the MH. The site was not level and the weeds needed mowed. Many permament Rvers here and all of them were friendly and helpful. The staff was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction to the places we needed to visit. Would we return? Yes, but we want a site that's level next time. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Great Campground. Lots of room, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient to shopping. Wal-Mart 3 miles away. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. A little bit of interstate noise didn't dampen a good weekend of camping. We shall return! We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tomoka State Park, Ormond Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes! We arrived about 4 pm and we were swarmed with hungry mosquitoes. The Park ranger said the thunderstorm we just had brought them out. They never went back in the entire weekend. The dirt road had huge mud holes and they were full of water. Most of the campsites were average size and all sand. We did see a few concrete pad sites. There is a boat ramp and a store nearby. The store wasn't well stocked, but seemed reasonably priced. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent. We won't return because there are so many more campgrounds in Florida we want to visit. We camped at Tomoka State Park in a Motorhome.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice state run campground. Lots of trees and dirt roads. Most sites are level. There is a lake with seasonal fresh water fishing and right around the bend there is a salt water inlet/boat ramp. The campground is well maintained and repairs are made very quickly once reported. We were there for over a month and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Manatee Hammock Campground, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Plenty of trees close to the roads making it difficult to drive, especially during the hours of darkness. I didn't like the fact that they made a copy of everyone's driver's license or ID card in order to stay at their campground. They used the excuse "it's a Homeland Security requirement". The showers were hot, but dirty. Black mold in the cracks and on the shower curtains. The campground is very convenient to tourist attractions and plenty of shopping nearby. We don't plan on returning to this campground because there are so many more in Florida to visit! We camped at Manatee Hammock Campground in a Motorhome.

Bulow RV Resort, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very scenic park with many activities for all. We camped for the Holiday weekend and went to the races at Daytona International Speedway (22 miles away). They definitely need to make some improvements. The bathrooms and showers were very dirty and lacked privacy. The outside shingling was rotting and falling down. The dirt roads had large holes. Several trees needed their branches trimmed. The water hook ups on at least 3 sites were leaking. We camped there in a Class C Motorhome in July 2005 and would camp there again, but there are too many other campgrounds in Florida we want to experience. We camped at Bulow RV Resort in a Motorhome.
