Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $87.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this campground! We'll definitely go again even with the high $87 plus tax rate. Rates to increase by 10% for next year! Note: if you bring your own golf cart, they charge an additional $5 a day. We were in the upper park and could see the ocean from our site. Some of the staff were friendly and some just doing a job. Only surprise is they do not have a shallow kiddie pool for young children. Still loved it! We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on the way to Florida. I had called to reserve two sites and after talking to the lady on the phone discovered that we could not make reservations with the use of Passport America. She told me there should not be a problem. When we checked in and showed our Passport America card we were told that it was not accepted on Friday night. She immediately got a PA book that was opened to their page and yellow hi-lighted to show PA was not valid on weekends. The park was okay but the staff, which was only one person, was not very friendly. Hopefully will not have to use this park again. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Motorhome.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We have been to this campground for the past several years. My biggest complaint is that the grass is always high. They don't seem to prepare the sites for the next camper. Their reservation policy has changed and instead of paying $50 to reserve for the next year, you now have to pay half. It's still a great park. The beach is not very big and gets a little crowded but the children love it! We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Magnolia RV Park and Campground, Kinards, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We used this campground for a stop over on the way to the beach. The staff (owner) is very friendly and escorts you to your site. I thought I had reserved two 50 amp sites but when we got there it was a 30 amp and a 50 amp. If appears that they sell pool passes to people outside the park so it was a little crowded. Did not accept Passport America on Friday night. We'll go back since it's the only place we know of in the area when traveling to the beach. We camped at Magnolia RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground. We were with a camping club and used the clubhouse which was very nice. We liked it so much that we reserved sites for ourselves and 3 other friends for a later date. Staff was very friendly. We camped at Leisure Acres Campground, Inc in a Motorhome.
