Fort William Historical Park RV Park, Thunder Bay, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The historical park is amazing, we spent a whole day on a tour and just exploring. For anyone interested in the history of the settling of the Americas this is one of the best exhibits we have visited. Now I have to say the negative. The provided showers and restrooms are just portable units basically glorified porta potties. They do have excellent restrooms in the visitors center so that helped. That said it is a beautiful setting with views of the river and rolling countryside. We camped at Fort William Historical Park RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beymer Water Rec. Park, Lakin, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice place for a stopover, three miles from US HWY 50 on a good paved road. Water & 30 amp electric. Just what we needed after a couple of long days on the road. Nice and quiet! We camped at Beymer Water Rec. Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived late afternoon and were met by a very courteous and helpful staff member. It is easy access, just off the interstate but noise is not an issue. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Black River Harbor Campground, Ironwood, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $7.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for an overnight and were pleasantly surprised. The sites are mostly large and separated by trees. We could see Lake Superior out our back window. There are trails to and along the river to view several waterfalls. We would definitely come here again. We camped at Black River Harbor Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with excellent help from staff. Large flat sites were easy in and out. Some sites have grass, most of the pull through's did not. We would stay here again. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Watchman Campground (NPS Campground), Zion National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground located near the main visitor center. The campground is well laid out and for the time of year, was very comfortable. The temps were 80's during the day and 50's at night, much better than the higher elevations all around the area. As noted by others, there are no showers in the campground. You must travel into Springdale which is just across the river and accessible by free bus service. We would stay here again. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mather Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Good location in the Grand Canyon area. The sites are wooded and not too close together. The showers are at the entrance to the campground and are $2 for 8 minutes, but that is plenty of time. There is a laundry at the same facility and both are very clean. There is an attendant available at all times, so quarters can be obtained on site. There are limited sites for larger rigs but ours was a large pull through. We would stay again. We camped at Mather Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Bluffview RV Park (formerly Mom and Pops RV Park), Farmington, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here four nights and got the 4th night free. This campground is in a more or less industrial area but that did not present a problem. It is basic, full hookup camping, very clean and well maintained. We used it as a base to visit area attractions including Chaco Canyon and Aztec Ruins. There are many things to see in the surrounding area. We would stay here again. We camped at Bluffview RV Park (formerly Mom and Pops RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park with fantastic views of the canyon. The sites are situated on the floor of the canyon where they are protected somewhat from the constant wind on the rim. The trails are great, they vary from moderate to difficult. We enjoyed our stay and will go again. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
