Rustic Timbers Door County Camping (formerly Door County Camping Retre, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull thru full hook-up site with 50 AMPS. The site was wide, level and long enough for our needs. This campground was purchased by new owners since we where there last and a lot of improvements have been made to the campground. We camped at Rustic Timbers Door County Camping (formerly Door County Camping Retre in a Fifth Wheel.

Fox Hill RV Park & Campground, Baraboo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Sites are vary narrow but level. On the weekend most sites were full and tents for an extra charge (I think) could be placed on your site. We had a premium site with 50AMPS and full hook-ups. To me a premium site should be paved or cement pad not a gravel bed. We camped at Fox Hill RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

WI Dells for one thing with all of the kids adventure items to do. In Blue Mound WI there is the Cave of the Mounds to explore for a fee. There is also Devils Lake State Park in Baraboo WI, a fee is required to enter. One thing I found intresting at Devils Lake State Park is they do accept the national Senior Pass for federal parks so, my vechicle was able to enter for free.

Lake Osprey RV Resort, Elberta, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Resort style campground for adults, although children are welcome. The resort offered free laundry and a full exercise room along with a heated pool with hot tub for guest. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way in helping you if needed.
The sites are long and level with full hook-ups with a cement pad. This rate reflects a monthly rate with electrical usage which could vary depending on day time temps. We camped at Lake Osprey RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Millbrook, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

The sewer line was not capped. Instead there was a plastic bag and a piece of wood being used as a plug for our site. The backflow valve was missing. Garbage and recycling was to be picked up between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00PM, instead after 8:30 PM. This sat outside all day on our site for kids to kick and play with. My wife and granddaughter were playing miniature golf and the place was a disaster. Loose boards with exposed nails and screws were present with loose electric wire which was laying about and Christmas decoration laying on the ground with hooks and wire fasteners laying about. These were trip points and hazards that a child could easily be hurt by. The general maintenance was lacking and seem to be operated by teenagers and very young adults with no managers present. They were very helpful but some were not very knowledgeable in the operations of the campground. We camped at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Poncho's Pond RV Park, Ludington, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Park staff was extremely friendly and very help full. Campground was very clean and we had a spacious site for a private campground. Our grandkids camp with us once a summer and they both felt this was the best campground they have stayed with us so far. They can't wait to go back to Poncho's Pond. We camped at Poncho's Pond RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River Oaks Resort, Amboy, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground that the previous owners have let it go into disrepair. The new owners purchased this about three years ago and are trying very hard to bring back to life. The new owners are vary personable and reach out to new campers that are there. They came over to our site and introduced themselves to us on Sunday which I find outstanding and asked if anything needed to be done.
I did mention that some trees need to be trimmed to provide for additional clearance for large rigs. We might come back in a year or two to see what other improvements, that they have made to this campground. We camped at Green River Oaks Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground but very small sites, but this is Branson MO and very hilly. We were escorted to our site and that was about it. The site was level and all gravel some of the other sites were not as level and would require a lot of blocking to support a unit.
Road surface was in need of repair in the campground on the way out of the park. Site lines when exiting the park could be improved when trying to accelerate uphill with a trailer attached and trying to make a left hand turn on to the highway from the access road. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Level sites, with cable TV in a federal camp ground; go figure!
Young children need to be watched as ELK do roam through the campground; when we where there. Park your tow vehicle and enjoy the shuttle bus service. This will get you to where ever you want to go in the Grand Canyon park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River KOA, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park has nice level gravel sites; but this is a KOA which is somewhat close to the highway and the train tracks are about a mile away. Easy in and out and close to MOAB and other points of interest to Utah other attractions. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Denver East / Strasburg KOA, Strasburg, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park as a stop over point to visit Denver CO and ESTES Park CO. Road noise was acceptable and as the owner stated; the train only ran about 4 times a day. Once a night around about 4:00 AM, which was acceptable since we know most KOA's are near tracks and major highways. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are gravel and some what level; other campers are very very close to you. In fact we woke up the next morning and we could not put out our awning if we wanted to. An A-frame camper that was parked next to us would interfere with the awning. But since we used this campground for a one night stay only, as we traveled through KS we could accept this. The park is off of I-70 and you can hear road noise, but not to bad during the night. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fairgrounds and we attended a rally for Forest River Owners Group (FROG) there. The cost reflects 4 dinners and 6 breakfast plus an excursion for two people.

We where in the center of the infield around the race track had water and 30 amp service plus one free pump out. the park is large and can accommodate in excess of 700+ campers. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.
